Life is a mystery in every sense of it. It is a puzzle! It is a game! It is a war! It is many, many more systems which we could think of and imagine. Living life should be guided with utmost carefulness. We should not take anything in life for granted. Our health; our safety; our earnings; our career; our relationships; our family bond; our investments; our religious affiliation and any other thing that we could think of. We shouldn't take anything for granted. We should live everyday with determination and commitment.
I was in the funeral ceremony of one of my friends’ father. It was the burial ceremony of his father. It happened a few days ago on a weekend. You know that ceremonies are usually done in weekends because that's when loved ones could have time to share with us.
While I was at the event, I took a reflection on what life looks like. No matter what you views could be, one thing is obvious: life has time duration. There is a duration for our lives. The mystery involved here is that most of us do not know how much time we have left! We can't tell what is the duration of our lives person (and we don't all have the same time on earth).
Do you take this into consideration? Are you really numbering your days? On day, your time shall be up and you will be laid to rest in a casket like my friend's father. He had lived 87 years on earth. And the end came one day. What am I doing with my life? How am I living my life? What values is my existence adding to my generation? What impact am I making? You can answer those questions for your self as I will answer for myself.
What Impact Have I made
When I would be gone, what will I be remembered of? What will my family and friends say about me? What story will my generation tell about me?
We should put thoughts like these into consideration. We should understand that our lives have impact directly or indirectly on the people we are connected to. That inferable means that we have impact on our generation. Whether you are a good person or you are a bad, you are affecting someone's life. There are children who suffering from because of the misdeeds of their parents. What type of a parent are you?
