It’s been a while since I’ve posted in the Feel Good Community, but this Night Photography Competition is right up my alley—I’ve been in that kind of mood every day lately.

When my wife and I are on the island, we usually go for a walk along the shore whenever it starts to get dark — that is, at sunset. It had been a really hot day; at sunset, a hot wind was blowing, and the temperature was over thirty degrees Celsius.
We usually take a walk along the shore and watch the sky change from blood-red to dark blue and black.
We usually have a drink (beer for me, of course 🍻) at a nearby beach bar.
And then a solid darkness settles in; we look out at what we call “light pollution” - the lights and settlements on the other side of the bay.
