Beer Tasting 🍺 Raffo Lavorazione Grezza 🍺 Tennent's 1885 Lager

in BEER15 days ago

Hello, beer lovers! 🍻

A beautiful, sunny, and hot weekend was ahead of us, so my wife and I went to the seaside again. She sunbathed and swam a little while I had something to do on the terrace, which I'll explain later.
And, of course, in the afternoon, in the shade, during the hottest part of the day, I treated myself to a few more beers for the 429th #beersaturday. A fantastic day!

Two bottles, one Italian and one Scottish, have been chilling in the fridge all day. I'm happy to share my beer experience with you!

🍻 😎 🍻

First, the one with less alcohol.

Raffo Lavorazione Grezza

Brewed by Raffo, Taranto, Puglia Italy, part of Birra Peroni.
Bottle, 0.45 l, alcohol 4.9% ABV, IBU 13. Lager.

What do the Master Brewers say?

Raffo Lavorazione Grezza was founded in Taranto in 1919. Enriched with PUGLIA BARLEY, it is a lager with a smooth body and a very refreshing dry taste, with just a hint of bitterness in the finish. It is produced today as it was then, with the same recipe and the same pride.

The beer is clear and yellow in color, with average foam. It does not have any particular aroma. It goes down smoothly, and I first taste a slight sweetness in my mouth, followed by a gentle bitterness of hops at the end.
Everything disappears in the aftertaste.

A delicious and refreshing lager!
Classic lager flavors, although this is most expected from German and Czech beers. I bought it at the Famiglia store in Italy, and the price was very reasonable at €1.50. Next time we go shopping in Italy, I'll have to bring some more back with me.

🍻 😎 🍻

I was very productive today, even though the sun was blazing.
First, I trimmed the reeds around the caravan and terrace, which was quite a lot of work, and I even got a blister on a finger after a long time. 😂

Then I coated the terrace floor with Teak oil.
I definitely deserved a beer :)

🍻 😎 🍻

One more beer to go!

Tennent's 1885 Lager

Brewed by Tennent's Caledonian Brewery, Glasgow, Glasgow City, Scotland.
Bottle, 0.33 l, alcohol 5%, IBU N/A. Lager

What do the Master Brewers say?

Tennent’s is more than just a great lager – it's a national treasure. As a product, it has always been known for being a great pint - dating back to its long history from 135 years ago when Hugh Tennent brought the recipe back from Bavaria.

The beer is light yellow in color. The head is average and disappears quickly. It goes down smoothly. Again, there is a slight sweetness at first, followed by a solid bitterness from the hops. The aftertaste disappears quickly.

🍻 😎 🍻

And what am I listening to when writing this and tasting beer? Nothing from Friday's #newtunes, I retook a break, hahah, now I'm listening to something summery.

You mixed a bit of hard work with pure relaxation. Your notes make it easy to imagine sipping in the shade with some summery tunes in the background. Cheers to hard work rewarded with great beers! 🍻

I always mix drinking with work. If I'm doing something, then I have an excuse to drink. 😎

Greetings, friend. First of all, it's great that you enjoyed the whole experience and being able to do something different. Also, you've made a good selection of beers. This is the first time I've seen them, so they look interesting, and now I'd like to try them, but they'll probably be very difficult to find here in Venezuela. I'll take these photos and have a good family plan.

You probably won't see them where you live, but who knows. They're not available in local stores here either, but I live near the border with Croatia and Italy and visit those countries very often, so I look for beer there too.

I don't think they'll make it to Venezuela, you'll have to send one, ha ha ha.

Yes, two good beers after hard work :)

Peace
Contrast between the relaxation and the beer tasting is wonderful.
The specific flavors you detected in the Raffo Lavorazione Grezza is a cool factor.
Thanks for sharing this enjoyable experience

Surprisingly, two lagers with different tastes, but both are very tasty.

This is nice
Thank you
