Hive Powerup Day: Is I am hoping too much?
Looking at the past few days, it looks like Hive is trying to maintain 30 cents level and I guess many have purchased the Hive at this price when Hive started tumbling down from this year's (2025) price of above 60 cents. After coming down to close to 27 cents from the high of Jan 7, 2025, it was able to pull back to 35 cents and remain above the 30 cents range for most of the time.
30 cents price range of Hive does not inspire at all if you start seeing the previous years Hive price charts and graphs, and find out that Hive was in the same price bracket, four years ago also. It simply looks odd that in the 4 years of the blockchain maturity and other stuff added in Hive, Hive did not get any price appreciation. In fact, once in the top 100 list of the crypto currency, it has lost it spots and now it ranks between 350 to 400.
Overall, it does not look rational to be in Hive when token price is hardly moving in the years, but on the other hand, it is very hard to understand why such an old, fast, versatile ,and free transaction blockchain failed to generate any strong interest or attention on it.
Most of the features that are readily available in Hive are getting recreated/added as a part of the some new blockchain or blockchains projects and these new blockchain/projects generate more interest and marketcap than the overall marketcap of Hive.
I have not given up yet on Hive.
Though I am disappointed with the price of Hive, but it is not at all deterrent for me to add more Hive power on my account, I still have strong Hive accumulation goal and I am adding more Hive as Hive power in my account.
I am now almost 20% of my overall Hive power goal of 150K and with powering up 250 Hive today, I have crossed the 29500 HP and very close to 30000 HP.
With current powerup , I have reached 29602 HP stake and with my current earning stream, I expected to reach 30K HP milestone in this month of March. Also i am planning to keep some liquid Hive, to power up daily as I am planning to take part in the Hive power up month HPUM.
Hope to see you again with my 30K HP milestone, that I am sure will come much earlier then the next Hive power up day i.e April 2025.
