ShadowHunters SMASh Contest – A Shadow in the Middle of the Night
During a nighttime phone call at home, the power went out, as has already become usual. In that instant, my shadow reflected on the balcony door caught my attention.
I stopped for a moment to look at it.
There was something in that image that made me think about everything we are living through lately. The silence, the darkness, the unexpected interruptions… and yet, there I was, present, reflected in a simple shadow.
Sometimes these everyday moments, which seem insignificant, end up saying much more than we expect. A shadow on a door, in the middle of a call, became a pause, a reflection, a small testimony of reality.
And here it is, shared with you today for this contest.

Concurso ShadowHunters SMASh – Una sombra en medio de la noche
Durante una llamada telefónica nocturna en casa se fue la luz, como ya es costumbre. En ese instante, mi sombra reflejada en la puerta del balcón llamó mi atención.
Me detuve un momento a mirarla.
Había algo en esa imagen que me hizo pensar en todo lo que estamos viviendo últimamente. El silencio, la oscuridad, las interrupciones inesperadas… y aun así, allí estaba yo, presente, reflejado en una simple sombra.
A veces estos momentos cotidianos, que parecen insignificantes, terminan diciendo mucho más de lo que esperamos. Una sombra en una puerta, en medio de una llamada, se convirtió en una pausa, en una reflexión, en un pequeño testimonio de la realidad.
Y aquí está, para compartirla hoy con ustedes en este concurso.
