Saludos a todos. Este 19 de octubre se estará celebrando el Día Internacional de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama, y quisimos traerles esta iniciativa para invitarlos a compartir toda la información que puedan brindarnos acerca de cómo se están organizando en sus respectivas ciudades para apoyar esta causa tan importante que abarca todo el mes de octubre.

El Mes Rosa u Octubre Rosa, es la connotación que recibe este mes por enfocarse totalmente en una campaña de sensibilización y creación de conciencia en toda la población mundial, con la finalidad de realizarse periódicamente chequeos para prevenir la aparición de esta patología en el organismo. Es relevante saber, que el cáncer de mama es una de las enfermedades más expandidas en el mundo, y desde que se ha enfatizado más esta campaña, también se ha logrado detectar a tiempo en muchos pacientes, ganándole la batalla por completo.

¿Cómo surge el Día Internacional de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama?

Esta iniciativa fue creada por la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) con la finalidad de concientizar a la población acerca de la importancia de detectar a tiempo el cáncer de mama y tener acceso oportuno a un diagnóstico y un tratamiento.

La campaña de concientización comenzó en octubre de 1985 en Estados Unidos, por la Sociedad Americana contra el Cáncer y la división farmacéutica de Imperial Chemical Industries, y el uso del lazo rosa, fue una iniciativa creada en 1992 por Alexandra Penney, editora de la revista SELF, y Evelyn Lauder, una sobreviviente de cáncer de mama. ¿Cómo participar en esta iniciativa?

La finalidad de la iniciativa es crear un post informativo acerca de los eventos que se están desarrollando en nuestras ciudades, enmarcados en el mes rosa, y de esta manera la información pueda llegar a muchas otras personas que habiten en el mismo lugar.

Esto puede incluir charlas, jornadas de pesquisa de cáncer mamario, ecografías y mamografías a bajo costo, eventos deportivos u otras iniciativas con la finalidad de recolectar fondos, entre muchas otras ideas que se estén organizando en la colectividad con el fin de apoyar esta causa. Nos gustaría que acompañaras este post con fotos originales.

¿Cuáles son los premios a los ganadores?

Se premiarán sólo dos lugares:
El primer lugar recibirá 1 HBD y 200 puntos Ecency
El segundo lugar recibirá 0.5 HBD y 100 puntos Ecency.

Pink October

Pink Month or Pink October is the name given to this month because it focuses entirely on a campaign to raise awareness among the entire world population, with the aim of encouraging regular check-ups to prevent the onset of this disease in the body. It is important to know that breast cancer is one of the most widespread diseases in the world, and since this campaign has been emphasized more, it has also been possible to detect it early in many patients, winning the battle completely.

How did International Breast Cancer Awareness Day come about?

This initiative was created by the World Health Organization (WHO) with the aim of raising awareness among the population about the importance of early detection of breast cancer and timely access to diagnosis and treatment.
