Hello dear Hivers!How are you today? I hope you're doing well and fine.I'm gonna tell you one of the highlight that happened today.When I came in inside the classroom everything was just usual.The first thing we've done was letting my students participate in reciting the Holy Rosary,as we offered this prayer to the victims of the earthquake.And after that a greeting of hi and hello,I also asked them on how were they after the said earthquake.Different answers I've heard during this time,their were some who still anxious and worried regarding what happened to.It was just and ordinary day.A student and a teacher interaction happened inside the classroom.I highlighted also during my discussion on what to do when there are earthquakes happened in our place.After the long talked I've made there were these group of students coming in front of the door bringing flowers,balloons and banners with the word written on it.I was surprised that these students of mine were making efforts just to surprise me today, in this teachers day celebration.
I thought they would do nothing on this day, because it's only that classes were just recently resumed because of the Earthquake.It was being suspended for how many days,and thank God ,we have classes now.So I understand if they can't remember this day, because I thought they were still in their traumatic experience.
But to my surprised,they're bringing banners and balloons in front of me..And everybody was yelling with laughters saying "teacher!happy teachers day!!"
They're happier seeing me I'm in my surprised stage,feeling happy and shocked at the same time.
Balloons, greeting card, banners and chocolates were very plenty in my tables.They were very thoughtful and generous in there gestures.
Their sweet gestures were so much appreciated.I knew there were making so much effort on this just to give this to me.
I have also student of mine who hand this special give to me.Its a personalized bag with my name written on it.
So students think of today as a very special day to teachers.Thats why my plan to give them a test was being cancelled and moved on the next day because they were also asking permission if they can offer a song and dance performances.
So as an appreciation to them I let them used my whole time in presenting their songs offered to me.So we've both shared the laughter and smiles as we celebrated this special day.
So much grateful for today's privileged that I'm still able to celebrate this day together with my students.Despite the worry and anxiety I've felt because of what happened during the earthquake.My heart still in sadness and pain seeing a lot of earthquake victims suffered.This day reminded me that I became a better teacher to these students,imparting knowledge and sharing about life.I've made a lot of realizations after the celebration.It motivated me to become more dedicated to my job as a teacher and not only that it also taught me a lot of things.
There are so many things to be grateful for today despite of the happenings.Thankful for these kiddos that they were able to remember me even in their own little effort.
