It's time for another LPUD and you can stake some LEO to get a chance at some nice LEO delegations. I almost missed LPUD because I forgot. However, when I say a post talking about Pi Day, I realized that it was indeed time for LPUD.
LEO Power UP Day
I participate in Hive Power Up Day each month and I am quite happy to see an LEO Power Up Day continue this month. At the start of the year, I made my 2025 yearly goals and that was to increase my LEO Power to 13.4k. In order to reach this, I need to stake on average 200 LEO a month and I prefer to stake all of it during LPUD back at the start of the year. I didn't miss the first LPUD and was close to forgetting about LPUD this month.
The requirements for participating to get rewards are below. I am currently at 11,400 LEO staked so I qualify for this. Even if you don't qualify this time around, I think it's still a nice thing to participate in because there are some unofficial prizes. There is an announcement post this time here. Just make sure to use the #LPUD tag.
- Your total Leo Power (on the 15th) must be less than 25k.
- You must power up at least 50 Leo on March 15.
- You must not have powered down Leo in the last month
- Make a post Leo Finance about LPUD (A Thread or Short is not enough).
There is a separation between those who power up 50 and those who power up more than 150. To get on the entire list of rewards, you need to power up more than 150 but 50 is enough to get in on a few of the delegations. I am unsure if premium is still being offered as it was not mentioned in the post and the winner's post didn't show anything about premium being offered either.
I don't see anything for an LPUD 2025 badge on Hivebuzz. After talking with a few people, I don't think there will be an LPUD badge this year.
LEO Power Up
I decided to power up 200 LEO this month because it is what I need for the month to reach my yearly goal and it is above what I need to qualify for the full rewards from the LPUD prizes. With this, I can say that I did what I set out for in terms of LEO power at the start of the year.
Conclusion
If you haven't done so, you might want to consider doing an LEO power-up and you can win an extra prize (LEO Power delegation). The LEO community is quite big, and I think staking more LEO is great for the entire network. It's too bad there isn't any more badges for it, but I do have a chance of prizes while reaching my goal.
