On our way back from service that Thursday night, my son suddenly called out, "Mummy, mummy, see the shadow!" It was a shadow of a potted plant, it's long leaves stretching quietly across the pavement. He smiled and quickly added, "You can use this for Hive."
He knows that whenever I'm with my phone, I'm either on Hive, receiving call, or making one. These days, all I seem to do is Hiving, so to speak. I brought out my phone and took a few shots. In that moment, I realized how closely children observe us—and how everyday scenes can turn into stories when seen through their eyes.
