Hello, friends! I want to share with you a place in my country that is a cultural center, where the idiosyncrasies of our country are displayed in a very beautiful way, and that is the Hanns Craft Center. This place showcases our traditional roots, which are totally indigenous to our country, and everything on display there identifies and represents us. Here you can find everything from beautiful sculptures and clay figures to beautiful rag dolls.

When I entered this place, I couldn't believe there was so much beauty in one place, and the best part is that there were original items from every state in my country, Venezuela. There were hammocks, hats, masks representing the devils of Yare, which is a dance performed in one of our states, specifically in the state of Miranda, and is the symbolic representation of good and evil. Although it may seem contradictory due to the images on the masks, it is religious in nature and very picturesque.

All these things we can see are completely handmade, that is, crafted by artisans. I found everything so beautiful, and that's why I wanted to share part of our essence with you, who we are, what we like, what identifies us as a people from generation to generation to the present day. That's why you'll see everything I was able to photograph.

One of the things I loved most were the nativity scenes made of different materials and shapes, because we are not in the habit of putting up Christmas trees at this time of year; our custom is to place nativity scenes representing the birth of Jesus in that humble manger. I loved that, and that's why I wanted to perpetuate this visit by taking several photographs to show you a very beautiful part of our culture and way of life.

¡Hola, amigos! Les quiero compartir un lugar en mi país que es un centro cultural, donde la idiosincrasia de nuestro país está expuesta de una manera muy hermosa, y es el Centro Artesanal Hanns. En este lugar están expuestas nuestras raíces tradicionales, lo que en nuestro país es totalmente autóctono y que todo lo allí expuesto nos identifica y representa. Aquí puedes conseguir desde hermosas esculturas, figuras de arcilla, hasta hermosas muñecas de trapo.

Cuando entré a ver este lugar, no podía creer que hubiera tanta belleza junta y lo mejor es que había cosas originarias, de cada estado de mi país, Venezuela. Había hamacas, sombreros, máscaras representativas de los diablos de Yare, que es un baile que se realiza en uno de nuestros estados, específicamente en el estado Miranda, y es la representación simbólica entre el bien y el mal y, aunque parezca contradictorio por las imágenes de las máscaras, es de índole religioso, muy pintoresco.

Todas estas cosas que podemos ver son hechas completamente a mano, es decir, de forma artesanal. Todo me pareció tan hermoso y por eso quise compartirles parte de nuestra esencia, lo que somos, lo que nos gusta, lo que nos identifica como pueblo de generación en generación hasta la actualidad; por eso verán de todo, lo que pude fotografiar.

Una de las cosas que más me encantó fueron los nacimientos hechos de diferentes materiales y formas, pues nosotros no somos de la costumbre de poner árbol de Navidad para estas fechas; nuestra costumbre es colocar nacimientos donde se represente el nacimiento de Jesús en aquel humilde pesebre. Eso me encantó y por eso quise perpetuar esta visita tomando varias fotografías para mostrarle una parte muy hermosa de nuestra cultura y forma de vida.
