TLDR: new year, clean slate, slightly terrifying goals. 30k HP is officially on the table, second-layer tokens get their own targets, and week 1 already did what week 1 always does: behave nicely before reality kicks in.
new year, new goals, new week, new update
A new year always feels a bit like rebooting a server. Same hardware, same quirks, but you really hope this time things will run smoother. So yeah, new year, new goals, new week, new #SaturdaySavers update.
Since all goals were reached last year, this one isn’t about celebrating milestones. It’s about committing to the next stretch and putting numbers on paper before emotions start negotiating behind my back.
starting positions (aka the reality check)
This is where I’m starting from:
Hive Power: 16,100 HP
HP delegated: 4,100 HP
HBD: 1,608
Second layer:
DUO: 1,127
BBHO: 12,264
BEE: 716
No drama here. This is just the baseline. The “this is what exists whether I like it or not” phase.
the goals (where optimism enters the room)
For the end of the year, I’m aiming at:
Hive Power: 30,000 HP
HP delegated: 5,000 HP
HBD: 2,000
Second layer targets:
DUO: 2,000
BBHO: 20,000
BEE: 1,500
Now let’s be honest for a second. 30k HP is not a “safe” goal. It’s the kind of number that makes Past Me laugh nervously. But Past Me also thought going from 7.5k to 15k was optimistic. So I’m done letting that voice drive.
In my opinion, goals should feel slightly unreasonable. If they don’t, you’re just writing down expectations, not goals.

breaking it down (because vibes don’t compound)
For Hive Power, this comes down to roughly 269 HP per week. That’s the number. Boring, unsexy, but powerful. Week 1? Hit it. Well. That was easy of course.
Weekly HP goal: 269
Week 1 achieved: 269

Nice start. Clean. No fireworks. Which is exactly how I like week 1. Let’s not pretend this says anything about the rest of the year though. One yellow cell in a spreadsheet does not mean victory.
second layer thoughts (and some deliberate exclusions)
DUO stays high on my radar. Strong token, good leadership, proper communication. On Hive, that last one is underrated until it’s gone.
BBHO keeps doing what it does best: quietly compounding without needing constant attention. BEE remains a utility play that just makes sense in the background.
BRO, LGN, BXT… not part of the plan. Not revisiting, not rethinking, not “maybe later”. Sometimes discipline is mostly about saying no and not reopening closed tabs in your head.

early takeaway
This first update isn’t exciting, and that’s a good thing. No panic, no euphoria, no “what if”. Just a clear starting point and a system that, if followed long enough, tends to work.
Next weeks will tell whether this is ambition or arrogance. Probably a bit of both. And that’s fine.
As always, feel free to poke holes in the plan. I trust math more than vibes, but I trust good counterarguments even more.
