Greetings, fellow adventurers!
Our journey began on a bright Wednesday when my friend and I decided to test our limits by camping at Penanjakan View Point Bromo. We set off from Bangil, Pasuruan, precisely at 12 noon, riding a well-prepared motorcycle.
**The Journey to Penanjakan
**
Before embarking on the journey, we had booked our tickets online several days in advance. This helped us avoid long queues and ensured everything went smoothly. As the midday sun grew hotter, we had to stop several times to allow our motorcycle to cool down. The road to Bromo is steep and demands good stamina from both the machine and the rider.
**Reaching the Entrance Gate
**
After a long journey, we arrived at the entrance gate of the Bromo area around 2 PM. After showing our tickets, we continued the trip until we reached a fork in the road leading to Penanjakan and the sea of sand. We chose the route to Penanjakan and finally arrived at the site around 3 PM.
**Setting Up Camp
**
Upon arrival at Penanjakan, we immediately looked for a strategic spot to set up our tent. Once the tent was up, we hurried to the Penanjakan viewpoint to enjoy the breathtaking sunset. The colorful evening sky painted by the setting sun made all our fatigue disappear instantly.
**Night at Penanjakan
**
That night, we prepared a simple but delicious dinner. After eating, we spent time photographing the stars. The clear Bromo sky, free from light pollution, offered a spectacular view of the galaxy. The quiet night, accompanied by the whisper of the wind, provided an unforgettable experience.
**The Cold Night
**
Sleeping at such an altitude was indeed challenging. We woke up twice due to the extreme cold. Despite wearing thick clothes, the cold air still penetrated to the bone. However, it was all worth it when we woke up at 5 AM to witness the sunrise.
**Enjoying the Sunrise
**
We climbed back to the Penanjakan viewpoint with renewed enthusiasm. The sunrise view here was truly extraordinary. The first rays of light appearing behind the mountains, accompanied by a thin mist surrounding the sea of sand, created a panorama that was difficult to describe in words.
**Breakfast and Packing Up
**
After enjoying the sunrise, we returned to the tent to prepare breakfast. A cup of hot coffee and toast was a simple but delightful menu to start the day. After breakfast, we started packing the tent and preparing to head back home.
**The Journey Home
**
The journey home felt lighter, although the downhill route also required caution. We arrived back in Bangil with a treasure trove of stories and experiences that we will never forget. Camping at Penanjakan View Point Bromo truly gave us a fulfilling adventure for both heart and soul.
Until the next adventure!
