Welcome to my entry for today's SMASh contest from "The Shadow Hunters Community"!
Last Saturday I went for a short walk to a park near my house, as I didn't feel like staying indoors on such a sunny day.
I ended up spending almost two hours enjoying a fantastic spring afternoon. We're on the verge of summer. And it's already showing, both in the very long afternoons... with light until almost 9pm, and in the much milder temperatures at night. Although it's not yet that temperature at night that forces us to sleep with the windows open, the shades and colors of the perfumes of the summer flowers are already tingeing the light late afternoon breeze with their soft fragrances.
As I was passing through the gates of the park to leave, I came across a fantastic light. I was lucky that I wasn't the only one looking to leave, and I still managed to capture their silhouettes cut out by the fantastic light, with the shadows almost perfectly drawn, and with little distortion yet.
An elderly couple, who very tenderly held hands as they walked... What a fantastic way to end a day. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that there really is no better way to celebrate the gift of life than to enjoy the good things we have.

Bem vindos à minha entrada para o concurso do SMASh de hoje da comunidade "The Shadow Hunters"!
Neste passado sábado fui até a um parque perto da minha casa para dar uma pequena volta, pois não me apetecia estar fechado em casa, com um dia tão solarengo lá fora.
Acabei por ficar quase duas horas a desfrutar de uma tarde fantástica de primavera. Estamos à beira do Verão. E já se nota, quer nas tardes bem longas... com luz até quase às 9pm, quer nas temperaturas muito mais amenas à noite. Apesar de ainda não estar aquela temperatura à noite em que nos obriga a dormir de janelas abertas, as tonalidades e cores dos perfumes das flores de Verão já se vai sentindo a tingir com as suas fragrâncias suaves, a leve brisa do fim da tarde.
Ao estar a passar os portões desse parque, para me vir embora, deparei-me com uma luz fantástica. Tive a sorte, que não era o único que procura sair, e ainda consegui captar as suas silhuetas recortadas pela luz fantástica, com as sombras quase perfeitamente desenhadas, e com pouca distorção ainda.
Um casal de anciãos, que de forma muito terna, seguravam a mão, enquanto caminhavam... Que maneira fantástica de terminar um dia. Aliás, posso até dizer que não há mesmo melhor forma do celebrar o dom da vida, do que desfrutar do bom que temos.
