My Introductory Post

in OCD8 months ago

Holla, lovely members of the Hive community.🤝
My name is Ahiwe Joseph Uchenna.
I hail from Isi-Alangwa North, Abia State. Nigeria

It's really nice to finally make my post of introduction after 2 months of joining. 🙂
Sorry!! not nice because I'm finally getting to connect with people or be recognized as a hiver (if that word exists), or because I'm finally in the League of bloggers 😌 but because it's really been a challenging thing to sit down and make a post about myself. I write or talk all the time about other people (some I might have never met ) honestly it never occurred to me how hard it could be to write about my own life. Special thanks to @paschal1 for introduction, motivation and continuous pestering 😌😌

Now back to myself.
I come from a family of eight (8) . Six (6) boys and my two (2) parents.
I know I know, ya probably thinking... Wow 6 boys 🤷🏿🙆🙆 how? I get that a lot
Did I mention I'm the 1st born or first issue as my Mom will call it 😭🤣😭.
My date of birth is on the 9th day of June. You'd have to go extra miles to know the year.

Education ?
I am currently a year 2 student of Radiography and Radiation Sciences (BSC) in the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom state .

My 1st school was New Glory Nursery and Primary Schools. I have little knowledge of the school, I just had my kG and Nursery levels there.
Next, Gbemic Private Schools, Ikorodu, I had my Primary Education here. All in Lagos
I then migrated a bit to Ogun State
St Anthony's Catholic School, Esure Ijebu imusin, the best school I ever attended which has inculcated in me values I'll forever remain grateful for. I spent 4 years here doing my jss1 to jss3 (had to repeat Jss1 cuz I wasn't so bright then)

It was probably the realization that I was staying a whole term at home that made me buckle up and aquint myself more with my books.
I got into Royalty Baptist Academy, Ikorodu –back to Lagos, to complete my secondary level from ss1 2nd term.
I was so proud when I realized I had even passed those who resumed 1st term in my personal reading. It kinda made me buckle up more and know that there is more to life than being unserious. If I could turn the hand of the clock, I wouldn't change a thing.

I am now in University level, grateful as ever, in my new environment (Akwa Ibom state).
Nothing to see here 😏
Only that, there is more to University than corporate Education.
You get to see life differently and meet people of different origins, and way of life 🧬.
I have enjoyed it so far as it has brought me out of my shell and exposed me to the world. I also know that it's only the beginning and there is more out there to explore. 💯

Hobbies ?
I have been confused recently on whether I'm an introvert or something else 😕.
Well who cares, no one mandates the awareness.
I generally like Cooking.
I enjoy cooking more when it's for myself probably because I get to try out new recipes formulated in my head, and if it's trash I can enjoy it alone 😅😅

I'm also a movie freak,
I'm not sure if that counts as a hobbie
I just enjoy it because I get to have a little insight as to what happens in real life as I am still in the expository level.
I get to learn from other people's mistakes and feelings and improve my own life.
That brings us to music taste
I am a rap person, with that you should guess Eminem and Dax should be on my playlist.
For now I'm not sure there is any song of Eminem's you can play that I have not once heard.
I also enjoy instrumental sounds and classical music (Beethoven and the rest).
I feel like the reason I'm drawn to these hobbies is because of the Art in them.
To me it's artistic for you to sit down and think of rhyming words, put them together and make something with actual sense in it, maybe even a diss track. Or to strike some keys on the keyboard or play with the violin and actually compose a masterpiece with so much melody that people want to reproduce it.
Well that all about hobbies I can think of for now.

Separate from my academic activities, I also take some language lessons, French (Français) to be specific.
Yes all the jè m'appelle , jè suis, jè vais, nous allons, vous avez, une femme et un garçon... I deal with em on a daily basis

I hope to also advance to learn more languages on the app (Duolingo) as it has been one of my derivatives of pleasure, speaking multiple languages. At least I have little idea of our local igbo Yoruba Hausa Ibibio Oron maybe you can add English and French 😅.
I'd be so glad to continue on this path and even develop the skills at least for better intertribal relationships and betterment of society.

Hewwww🥱🥱
Writing this post just opened my eyes to so many things I should be grateful to the universe for as it helped me reflect on my life and how far I've come.

Feel free to welcome me, I don't bite and maybe add your own take on some of the topics discussed here.
I hope to be more consistent in this app after this post.
Jè m'appelle Joseph.
