Matthew 28:20 (KJV) Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
The church of God is the household of God. As a household, there are rules and guidelines guiding the conducts of the members of the family. The doctrines of the church are the rules which control the conducts of members of the church.
Matthew 17:5 (KJV) While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
It is worth noting that it is the Lord Jesus Christ who is our Teacher. He is the Teacher which was sent from God to come and teach us the commandments of God. God introduced Jesus Christ to us on the Mount of Transfiguration when he told Apostle Peter and others that they should listen to him. So, the Lord Jesus Christ is our Teacher.
1 Timothy 3:15 (KJV) But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
The doctrines of Jesus Christ suggest to us that we are not to behave ourselves anyhow in the church of God. We must take instructions from the teachings of the doctrines and know how we should behave ourselves as members of the church. In the church, we do not live and act like other people in the world. We are different because we have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. We should live as the people of God and obey the commandments of God.
