This photograph is my entry for the contest. The subject is an old plastic bottle that once contained oil but is now completely empty. It was sitting on the side table beside my bed, something so ordinary that I usually wouldn’t give it a second glance. One evening, as I was lying down, I noticed sunlight streaming in through the window and falling directly onto the bottle.
यह तस्वीर मेरी प्रतियोगिता के लिए प्रविष्टि है। इसका मुख्य विषय एक पुरानी प्लास्टिक की बोतल है, जिसमें पहले तेल रखा जाता था, लेकिन अब वह पूरी तरह खाली है। यह मेरे बिस्तर के पास रखी साइड टेबल पर पड़ी थी। यह ऐसी साधारण चीज़ थी जिस पर आमतौर पर मेरी नज़र भी नहीं जाती।
Next to it was a paper takeout shopping bag, and the bottle’s silhouette appeared on it with remarkable clarity. The shadow mirrored the bottle’s shape almost perfectly, from the cap at the top to the curved body below.
उसके ठीक बगल में एक पेपर टेकअवे शॉपिंग बैग रखा था, जिस पर बोतल की परछाईं आश्चर्यजनक रूप से स्पष्ट दिखाई दे रही थी। यह छाया बोतल के आकार को लगभग पूरी तरह प्रतिबिंबित कर रही थी ऊपर लगे ढक्कन से लेकर नीचे के घुमावदार हिस्से तक।
I found it fascinating how an everyday object that had outlived its original purpose could still become the center of an interesting photograph.
मुझे यह बात बेहद दिलचस्प लगी कि एक साधारण रोज़मर्रा की वस्तु, जो अपने मूल उपयोग से आगे बढ़ चुकी थी, फिर भी एक आकर्षक और रोचक तस्वीर का केंद्र बन सकती थी।
