After several days of continuous rain, the weather has finally started settling again. The days are sunny now, and by evening the light slowly softens before turning into night. This kind of weather always feels pleasant in a quiet way. It is neither too hot nor too gloomy, just balanced enough to make everything around feel calmer and lighter. Even the air feels different after days of rain, fresher and easier to sit with.
कई दिनों तक लगातार बारिश होने के बाद अब मौसम धीरे-धीरे फिर से सामान्य होने लगा है। दिन अब धूप वाले होते हैं और शाम होते-होते रोशनी हल्की पड़ने लगती है, फिर धीरे-धीरे रात आ जाती है। इस तरह का मौसम हमेशा अपने आप में बहुत सुकून भरा लगता है। न ज्यादा गर्मी होती है और न ही उदासी भरा माहौल, बस एक संतुलित सा वातावरण जो आसपास की हर चीज़ को शांत और हल्का महसूस कराता है। कई दिनों की बारिश के बाद हवा भी अलग महसूस होती है, ज्यादा ताज़ा और आरामदायक।
These photographs were taken on one such evening a few days ago. I had stepped out into the balcony for some fresh air without really planning to photograph anything.On one side, dark clouds were slowly moving in from the left, carrying that familiar feeling that rain might arrive again at any moment. On the other side, the sun was beginning to disappear behind the hills, spreading warm colours across the horizon.
ये तस्वीरें कुछ दिन पहले ऐसी ही एक शाम की हैं। मैं बस थोड़ी ताज़ी हवा लेने बालकनी में गया था और उस समय तस्वीरें लेने का कोई खास इरादा नहीं था। तभी मेरी नज़र आसमान पर गई। एक तरफ बाईं ओर से गहरे बादल धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ रहे थे, जिन्हें देखकर ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे किसी भी समय फिर से बारिश शुरू हो सकती है। वहीं दूसरी ओर सूरज पहाड़ों के पीछे ढलने लगा था और उसकी गर्म रोशनी पूरे क्षितिज पर फैल रही थी।
The cool breeze, the shifting clouds, and the fading sunlight together created one of those moments that make you stop whatever you are doing and simply look around for a bit longer.
ठंडी हवा, बदलते बादल और धीरे-धीरे फीकी पड़ती धूप मिलकर ऐसा दृश्य बना रहे थे कि कुछ देर के लिए हर काम छोड़कर बस आसपास देखते रहने का मन कर रहा था।
I even picked up the clothes that had been left outside because the clouds looked heavy enough for sudden rain. After so many rainy days, it almost felt automatic to expect another shower approaching. But this time the rain never came. The clouds passed slowly, the sky kept changing colours, and the evening remained dry until the light finally disappeared.
मैंने बालकनी में रखे कपड़े भी उठा लिए थे क्योंकि बादल इतने भारी लग रहे थे कि लगा अभी बारिश शुरू हो जाएगी। इतने दिनों की लगातार बारिश के बाद अब तो अचानक बारिश होने की उम्मीद अपने आप होने लगी थी। लेकिन इस बार बारिश नहीं हुई। बादल धीरे-धीरे आगे बढ़ते रहे, आसमान के रंग बदलते रहे और शाम बिना बारिश के ही धीरे-धीरे रात में बदल गई।
