Spring in Utah

Bloom

We are on a short trip to Utah. Its like travelling in time a few weeks forward from Vermont. Spring has fully arrived in Utah 🙂

Red

Specifically we are in Salt Lake City. Its a nice city with lots of well kept flowering trees and flower gardens.

Yellow

Many of the same type of flowers that are common in Vermont.

Triple

The high altitude brings a more intense sun.

Hyacinth

And they are a little farther south than Vermont. So together they are maybe a month ahead in terms of blooms.

Flower bed

I hope some of my beds bloom this nicely.

Crabapple

Our crabapples are not yet started and these are at peak.

Spring in Utah is dramatic. Since the state is dry, the plants all know that they only have a few weeks with both water and sun ... so they need to get their thing on early in Spring.

The blooms should start hitting here by next week and I'll be sneezing from those plum trees lol. Utah might add another layer of dust to add onto the tree allergies. At least it looks really nice.

So many blooming trees. It smell nice but after awhile the odor become overwhelming lol turns kind of a sickly, too sweet kind of smell in my head I can't get away from 🤦

Looking glorious around there, there are decent blossoms here too and the spring season has suddenly burst into life after a long, cold, wet and windy winter.
