Hello everyone good morning.....
Starting a beautiful morning with beautiful insects. Euphoria dimidiata beetles decorated my morning, while I was working in the longan garden. He was very busy there, like an expert examining the flower. He was very skilled at examining them. His busyness made me even more curious about him, I couldn't wait to get close to him. Before approaching the super busy beetle, of course you have to find the right place to photograph it.
This beetle has three interesting color variations, black, white and brownish orange. If you don't look carefully the beetle will not be seen. Its small size and color are not too flashy, making it feel safe there. Even though he acted relaxed, I was still very alert when approaching him. Remembering that he is just an insect that is easily sensitive to the surrounding environment.
The beetle not only examines the flowers, but also examines the small fruit. From this we can judge that the beetle does not only enjoy nectar. However, the beetle also eats the sap or other fluids contained in the fruit. Let's hope he doesn't inoculate all the fruit.
There is one thing I don't like about this beetle, it emits an unpleasant odor. Most likely there were other predators who tried to attack him before my arrival. The smell, which was very strong at first, slowly disappeared until there was no smell at all.
