Hello and welcome back to my blog!

Elden Ring has been a bit of a grind lately. Upgrading levels requires a lot of runes, and it takes a long time to collect those...worse if you keep dying deep inside the enemy territory, it gets tougher to recover your runes and I have lost them multiple times. Stormveil castle guards proved to be a bit of a headache so far so I focused myself in the open lands of Limgrave. Defeating the fire dragon in the swamps was a big achievement in the meantime.
An interesting place where you can find a lot of NPCs is the Rountable Hold. Many interesting characters here, my favorite is the blacksmith guy. I found him once secretly praying to Queen Markia to get him released from here. Poor soul is in chains and serves the tarnished like us for eternity.
I upgraded the Dismounter a lot now and am enjoying the weapon. It is a bit heavy and slow, but it deals a lot of damage and is highly effective against castle guards with shields.
I used my Stonesword key to open a new area just next to this blacksmith. I was thinking it would be something cool, but there was just a chest with a Crossbow in it. I am not a fan of crossbows in the game, so that was a waste of a perfectly good Stonesword key, lol.
Godrick the Grafted
Did I tell you about the epic clash of Godrik the Grafted? That epic boss intro was so cool, it pumps you up well. You can see multiple arms on his body from his victims. He got some epic lines as well.
The other boss, Margit the Fell Omen, prepared me well for this fight. But he still kicked my butt easily. I was not well prepared for this one.
But this boss fight was comparatively easier, I would say, than the Margit one because of the help I got from another warrior. I could summon Nepheli Loux here to aid me in this boss fight.
She had a lot more health than I expected, and her attacks were powerful enough. I used the Jellyfish spirit as well, so he had three targets to hit, and this gave us a huge advantage. The entire first half of the fight was smooth. But then, when I thought it was too easy, he began to show why he is a demigod.
He replaced one of his hands with a dragon's head and started throwing flames at us. I hate it when cutscenes play in the middle of a boss fight, adding a new ability/power to the boss. It is like robbing you of joy.
Even with this deadlier attack, it wasn't too bad. Once you learn to dodge those fire attacks, he has mostly the same attacks as before.
Every death teaches you something. My aim is just to learn one thing at a time, one new pattern, a timely doge, learning about the perfect window to hit is sufficient.
One of the best feelings in video games is to see the boss die and the big bold letters saying 'Demigod Felled'. It gave me a great rune, an item called 'Remembrance of the Grafted' which I could cash out for extra runes but I didn't.
It was time to see what this guy was hiding in his castle. It was a bit anticlimactic as I saw an empty throne room with a big throne in the middle, large enough to fit like four people in the chair.
After this fight, the castle peacefully threw me out. The only way forward was going to the seemingly endless open world, and there seemed to be no more enemies left here. So, I am guessing this was it from the Stormveil Castle, unless of course, I missed something. I hope I didn't miss any mini-boss or optional content here.
There is still a vast land yet to be explored. I could see many huge structures and buildings in the distance. Some look like Castles, too.
I will be back with another episode after exploring more of these lands and hopefully killing some bosses in between.
