In the wake of my last days among nature, the question arises: where next?
Contemplating lonely spiderwebs with a graveyard view, one can't stop thinking that time is limited. There's a full year ahead, and the travels I haven't done last year have to be made up for. Preferably, as soon as possible.
There will always be something more to be taken care of on our busy day-to-day lives, things to settle, but as the flow of water, also time flows by. And before you know it, the travels you wanted to do keep piling up.
So, although a #monomad challenge is always a good setting for photographies with some memories, what goes in my mind now is: where will I create new memories?
Will I trade the misty woods near my grandparent's village...
... for the misty jungles of South America?
Or instead of seeing the water flowing in the little mountain rivers, shall I contemplate the warm waters of a tropical paradise?
Or even better, finding a destiny where I can have both?
And the creatures, the astounding creatures that I'm yet to see for the first time in their natural habitat? Or see again, because when it comes to wildlife, I can admire the same species over and over again.
Portugal still has tons of places to be discovered, but apart from getting to know my home country country better, exploring abroad is certainly on the things-to-do-soon list. The question remains, though... where next? 🙂
