Good afternoon my dear friends from hive and Rising Star. Friends, like every day and lately in the afternoon 😅 I have returned with all of you. You know, it has been several days since the last story I brought you so I wanted to bring you a new one. If you haven't read the last one, you can easily find it on my blog. In today's case, I have dedicated it to the R166 Romy letter. This letter is very pretty and I like it a lot for its art, for that reason I chose it for today's story. This story is about how sometimes it is necessary to break promises to move forward, especially when the person to whom we make it does not fulfill their part. Having said that, I hope you like the story, let's begin.

Friends, look, Romy was dedicated to singing since she was little, although of course it was not anything formal or planned. For example, she did it in the shower, in the kitchen, in any corner or moment where she had the opportunity. But she does not share all this alone, there is someone who has the same passion as her and is almost always with her to sing together. It is Minerva, her best friend for life. They knew each other since they were little and attended the same school. They supported each other in the good and bad comments so they had a very strong friendship together. The two understood each other very well and each told each other their problems. But what truly united them was music. Each dreamed of being a singer since she was little.

For that reason, from a young age they made a promise to each other, they said “together we are going to be stars”. That is, to be singers together. And that is how it all began. At their school, the two formed a duo together and when they needed to sing for an activity or something at school, they were the first to offer their support. They did it because they wanted to lose their shame and nervousness and the best thing was to start singing in front of their friends.

They continued this dynamic in the following schools they attended. They did not go to university but they did sing together in high schools. When they graduated, each remembered the promise of being singers together. But things did not go as planned. First Minerva got pregnant, and spent several months without being able to sing. Since they were a team, Romy did not sing alone so she stopped singing for a while until she could. As soon as Minerva was able to sing again, she did some concerts with Romy, but they were few. Every day there were fewer concerts they did or fewer times they worked together. So Romy was slowing down her career to wait for her who was always busy with other businesses and her things.

Minerva often broke a concert because she had to attend to her husband's clients who was dedicated to selling movies in a store. Months went by and Romy still could not sing because she continued to wait for her so she began to reconsider for the first time the promise they made to each other to always sing together and reach the top. While Minerva was earning money in her husband's shop, she had no one to support her, so waiting for her was no longer a viable option. So the moment she never wanted to come arrived: the day of the call.

In the call, Romy told her that she had waited for her for months, she had invited her to sing together and she simply did not take it seriously. She was increasingly focused on her husband's store, leaving aside the career they were building together. Then she spoke clearly and told her that even though she did not want to, she would start singing alone, starting a solo singing career. Minerva got very upset and told her that that was not what they had agreed on. But Romy could not wait any longer, it had been a year since they last played and that was not counting the time of her pregnancy and so on. So she told her that even though she did not want to, she would start a solo career.

But she was open in the future to joining again if Minerva wanted.
But Minerva closed her mind and hung up the phone. She was very upset and she was so upset that she did not stop to think about how her lack of commitment affected Romy, she did not think at that moment that Romy was alone and that her career as a singer was everything to her. On the other hand, Romy immediately prepared everything to return to the arena as a solo singer. It would not be easy because she was used to singing with her friend but she had no other choice.

Once they separated, Romy immediately took off in her career, a career that should never have been paused but the promise had delayed it. A few years later she has won several awards, has millions of followers on social networks and is one of the most beloved singers within her genre. But she never felt complete without Minerva, it is true that she had won a lot of fame and awards but she always valued Minerva's promise and friendship much more. That is why she has never fully forgiven herself for breaking the promise with her. That is why one day she called her again. Minerva could not believe it was her, she did not even say anything to her, she just started crying.

She told her that she was very sorry for not taking their career together more seriously and for not having kept the promise. It turns out that her husband had left her for another and she had left her career for nothing. But Romy never felt anything bad against her. She told her that she would visit her. When she went to see her she told her that the door was still open, that if she wanted they could be stars together as they always wanted. Minerva hugged her and said yes. That was how a broken promise fixed everything, and became a promise again. Now it was Minerva's turn to become a star.
