Enzo's story, the great trip.

in Rising Star Game10 days ago

How are you all today, my friends? I hope and wish that you are having a nice evening as always. Dear friends, on this occasion I wanted to bring you a new story. It's been several days since the last one I brought you and the truth is I wanted to bring you a new one. This week I published it later than usual due to some time problems I've had but today I finally bring you one. By the way, I dedicated this story to card 140 Enzo. Those who have been following me for a while will know that I always make these stories based on a Rising Star card and well today I thought this would be the right one. I based a large part on the art of the card to design the story. So with that said, let's begin.

Have any of you ever felt like you have a second home? I'm sure you do, because that's also the case for our friend Enzo. You see, he works as a delivery man. He's in his truck all day long, hauling loads of mail, construction materials, packages from shipping companies, and basically anything that needs to be transported. The truth is that he spent more time in his truck than in his own apartment. Well, calling it an apartment was being generous because it was a room with a small bathroom. He barely had anywhere to store his stuff. But who needs a house when you have a truck? It's funny but that's what he always says.

In fact, many days he didn't even sleep in his apartment, he slept in his truck. Part of the fun was because it was like having a mobile home, the truck is big so he can live there along with the cargo. He often lives for very long and likes leftovers. So it's no wonder that every time there's a difficult load to deliver at his company they entrust it to him. It is not for nothing that it is one of the best transporters.

One day, while he was going through some papers for the last job he had delivered, he received a peculiar assignment from his boss. He had to transport an old piano from a warehouse in the city center to a cabin in the mountains. The client had been very clear, it was a valuable piano and it had to arrive without a scratch. For Enzo, this job was perfect because he was already half bored of moving boring boxes and furniture, and he wanted a proper challenge, so he accepted the job without complaining. But this was only the beginning of the good news because the piano belonged to a famous retired pianist. And of course, not just any pianist, no. It was Sofia, the same one he had seen in a documentary a few years ago and of whom he was a big fan. So meeting her in person would be an opportunity he never imagined.

The piano in question was impressive, it was a very valuable classic. So if he broke it, he would have to pay for it. And he would have to work many years for that. So he had to make the trip very carefully. Although he is already used to challenges and difficult shipments. So he and some colleagues carefully loaded the piano into their truck. And after that he started up and headed off to the destination which was more than 400 kilometers away, so it would be a long trip.

The trip started off calmly. The road was clear, and the weather was nice. Enzo even started talking to the piano, he sounded crazy, 😅, he said “Don’t worry, buddy, I’ll get you there safe and sound.” About 150 kilometers later he made a stop to eat something and get some sleep. As he got out of the truck a boy saw the piano from outside. The curious boy approached him and started asking him questions about the piano. Do you know how to play? Enzo scratched his head and admitted that he didn’t, although he had always wanted to learn, he told him. Then the boy told him that maybe he should try because his dad told him that it’s never too late to learn things. Enzo thanked him and said yes, that one day he would learn. After that he lay down to get some sleep and then continued the trip.

The next day As he continued on the road, things got very complicated, it wasn’t so easy anymore. The sky began to darken in a way that didn’t promise anything good. Then a mechanic at a gas station warned him that the mountains were dangerous during storms. Because there were landslides. So Enzo, who had been relaxed and happy about the job at first, was starting to worry. A landslide was something he didn't want to see, because it could destroy the truck and the load. But he wasn't intimidated, so he continued.

But not much further on he saw that the main road was completely blocked by a big tree so he couldn't continue. This made him nervous again because the deadline was in a few hours and he didn't want to be late. So he parked the truck and asked the local people what could be done about the problem. They told him that they had already reported it and that a tow truck would come in 1 day to fix the problem. But he knew that if he waited that long he would be late. So he asked them if there was another road and they told him yes, but it wasn't paved so he would have to go by dirt.

So he ended up taking the risk. You could say that this stretch of road was the hardest of Enzo's entire career. First the tires went flat twice, luckily he had spares. Then the truck got stuck in the mud for about 2 hours. Thanks to a farmer who had a tractor to tow it he was able to get out. And then he ran out of fuel. It was getting dark and there he was in the middle of nowhere climbing a mountain and now without fuel. What could he do?

Fortunately for him, the same farmer who helped him out of the mud earlier sold him some liters of fuel to continue. So he was able to continue. He thanked the farmer endlessly. When he finally saw the cabin in the distance, he felt a great relief, he had finally arrived and the best thing was that the piano was intact. Sofia greeted him at the door happily, thanked him and gave him a good tip, the tip was not in the form of money, it was something more special. She played the piano for him. It was an unforgettable experience. Without a doubt, the trip, although difficult, was worth it.

Dear friends, this has been my story for today. I hope you liked it. If so, I would like you to tell me in the comments what you thought of it. See you next time. Thank you very much for reading.
