Hello Feathered Friends Lovers,
Welcome to #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 166
Have you seen a new bird recently? If you haven't, do not trouble yourself as you can submit your photo of any bird you took. We will have the most favourite prompt - ** FREE THEME** for round 166. I know this is favourite for many of you and I love to browse your photos and to learn more about the birds from your countries.
My example photos include a bird I had the pleasure to photograph for the first time - the lark and more precisely - the Crested Lark.
It was almost invisible, see how well it blends with the sand. If it wouldn't move, I wouldn't see it.
What I did not know is that the Crested Lark is not the only one to be seen in Bulgaria and we have rather big variety - Horned Lark, White-winged Lark, Wood Lark, Calandra Lark, Greater Short-toed Lark, Eurasian Skylark, Lesser Short-toed Lark, Black Lark. Amazing, isn't it?
The second example is of the harrier and if not mistaken, Marsh Harrier.
We've seen harriers more often now and I missed a clear shot of another one in the park. I think it was a Northern harrier then and suprisingly very close and low above the ground.
