Till 2 weeks back Mumbai was praying for rains and now people are praying for rains to stop. Mother nature, so unpredictable and can be so ruthless in both ways. It can give in excess or it can completely deprive. Mumbai is flooded and people and there is water logging in many of the low lying areas. At my farm house the rains are even more then the city and there is quite a lot of disruption.

For my Airbnb, my yesterday's client cancelled last minute. Normally we have a non-refundable policy if cancelled within 5 days, but considering this situation which is not in anyone's control we refunded them the advance money they had paid. It would be better if they would not take a chance to travel in this type of weather, because if it gets worse then this then they can be stranded at my Airbnb. Today we had no booking but then morning we received call from one agent asking if we could take a booking, since some people have been stranded due to water logging.

While the scenery has becoming so much beautiful all around, but logistically it is all a mess. Last evening there was also one incident. At the entrance of our society the road is very narrow and one of the car did not get the right judgement because of heavy rains in that time, and the car went down the road getting stuck in muck. Later the villagers came for help and a towing van was called to remove the car.

It was a task to remove but somehow managed to. This area has still not developed and the roads here are not very good, so one needs to be extremely cautious while driving. A little carelessness can lend into a big trouble like this one.

So this is all the bad side and effects of the heavy rains, and now let me show you the good side and effects of the rain. This is the view right now from my balcony.
