Driving through the Foggy road

in #travel4 months ago

This was last week when I was in India. One of the evenings me and hubby decided to go for a drive on the mountains. We were having some very hectic rough days and all our time was just being spent attending to work. I was feeling fed up and needed a change. The weather was amazing, on this evening it was not raining heavily but continuously it was drizzling. I wanted to go to the top and spend some time there. On the mountains you get some very different type of fast food, which is like a roasted corn and bhajiyas with tea. These are some local Indian savories, they are fast food but not exactly the unhealthy ones. And I enjoy having a roasted corn on a rainy day. It's almost every Indian favorite snack.

When we started our drive the road was very clear and I was enjoying the drive, but as we started moving up, the whole scene was changing, it started getting foggy and there were some points where the visibility was almost zero and driving was getting tough. As it is there have been some mishaps in this weather on these locations and hubby was getting uncomfortable driving. We decided to return back after one point. While some of the cars were still going up, I did see many cars taking a reverse turn. Both of us were not feeling safe to go up and specially on that narrow mountain road with lots of bends.

I was feeling a little disappointed as we planned for this outing after many days of only getting caught up in work. But then safety and security is more important and did not want to take a chance with this kind of unstable visibility.

When we started the road was clear, we had no issues, there was fog but on the mountains and not on the road.

Now the road has started to get foggy, still it was manageable

It's getting bad from here on

Now it's a real challenge and this is where we decided to return back

It was a good decision made, after some time suddenly the weather became very rough and it also got dark. Going up would have not been the wisest thing to do. Anyways whatever little drive we could do was enjoyable and we had a good time.

Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸

Yes ma'am. Seeing the photos, it's really a good choice to return. The good part is you have a together time while on the road driving.😊

That's right and we did enjoy some part of the drive, later it looked risky so then we took a U turn

Prevention is better than cure ma'am. 😊

Glad you both made a good choice for your own safety, we can always have fun some other time.

Safety is always first and then adventure with fun makes sense

Sometimes all you need is a road trip together.

Thank you for the support

Oh my, the photos alone show that it would have been much unwise to keep going. Better safe than sorry, I would say.

And in my place, roasted corn is a sweet delight in seasons like this. It's often eaten with little pears or coconuts. Healthy and tasty.

True, better safe then sorry. The pears and coconuts is not the thing here. On the mountains the other thing famous here with corn is maggi noodles :-)

Drive safely Ma'am @nainaztengra that's a very good decision Ma'am. Better safe than sorry

Thank you, safety always first

Nigerians also love to eat roasted corn when it is raining
I’m glad you and your hubby had fun
Nice one!

Ahha, I see there are so many common things in different places. It's nice to learn them
