Ahsan Manzil Tour in Old Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh.

in Worldmappinyesterday (edited)

Hello friends, how are you all? I hope you are all doing well. Welcome to my new post. Today I will present to you about one of the archaeological sites in Bangladesh, which is Ahsan Manzil. Ahsan Manzil is one of the archaeological sites in our Bangladesh and one of the oldest places in Old Dhaka. It is located on the banks of the Buriganga River in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. However, it is currently known as a museum and the place is very beautiful to see.

In some cases, it is heard that it was previously known as Rangmahal. However, it was built by the Nawabs of Dhaka. Who made it known as Ahsan Manzil among the people. It was built according to the name of Nawab of Dhaka, Khwaja Ahsanullah. It was destroyed by an earthquake in the late 18th century, but it was restored and brought back to life. A few days ago, I went to Dhaka. I originally went to meet one of my elder brothers.

I first went to Dhaka. Then he told me that he would show me around Dhaka city, which is why we both went to Ahsan Manzil. It is basically located on the banks of Buriganga River. I have never seen Buriganga River. This is the first time I went to Ahsan Manzil with him and saw Buriganga River. Anyway, we went there at about noon to enter. We were quite hungry and we got food from a hotel there. We ate food from there and then we saw that there were quite a few people standing outside. Basically, it is currently preserved as a museum by the Bangladesh government.

First we bought tickets. Then we went inside. While entering, we noticed quite a few things, one of which was that we saw many foreign tourists entering this Ahsan Manzil and observing here. There are a total of two buildings here, both of the buildings are almost pink in color. Since they are rose-shaped buildings, they look very beautiful, but I found them quite strange. There are two buildings here. First we looked around very well and saw the constructions, it was understood that they were built during the Mughal period.

First we tried to go up to the main building. There is a big body here, we have to go up, so we started going up. There were quite a few people who had originally bought tickets and entered here and were observing this place. However, we stood there and I took quite a few pictures there. I really liked its dome, there is a big dome on top which is very big. There are about 300 to 350 rooms in this Ahsan Temple. However, most of the rooms here have different types of furniture.

Where it is known as a museum. We went inside first. Then we saw quite a lot of things in the museum. We saw many things necessary and daily life of the Nawabs of Dhaka. We learned about how they lived there and also about their words. Especially we gained the most knowledge about their lineage from there. There are many historical places in Old Dhaka, Ahsan Manzil is one of them. I really liked it, I hope you will like this post of mine.

Thank you so much.

Architecture always carries the spirit of the past, and its renovation proves that cultural heritage is valued. That’s history. Once, people drank tea and exchanged political intrigues, and now tourists line up for tickets, haha.

I had to stand in line for quite a while 😂

Look at some very beautiful pictures my friend

Thank you so much.
