The exhibition at Morton Arboretum in Lisle Illinois consists of five large scale creations by Polish American artist Olga Ziemska. I have photos of two of them here. One more of the sculptures titled 'Strata' I'd shown in my previous post HERE
The exhibition’s intention is to remind us of the human connection to nature and the earth,
This sculpture is made of river rock and titled 'Hear-with an ear to the ground'. The intention is to remind us to listen to Nature. The breeze blowing through the trees and grasses, and the sound of the birds singing and insects chirping-take time to be still and listen to the sounds of nature
.
This 6ft tall sculpture made of tree branches is titled 'Stillness in Motion'.
Many people find Maze walking to be a form of spiritual exercise and meditation for quiet contemplation and prayer.
There are 16 miles of walking paths and hiking trails in the arboretum and there is plenty to see!
It's such a beautiful time of year to be outdoors!
