Motherhood
Motherhood is the condition of a mother, a woman who has conceived and given birth to one or more children, or who exercises a caring role with affection and responsibility similar to that of a mother.
A woman who raises, protects and provides love to a child, even if she is not its biological mother, can also be considered a mother. This bond between a mother and her adopted child is a special and meaningful relationship, and as in the case of the biological relationship, an unconditional love arises that lasts a lifetime.
Outside the Jacinto Lara International Airport in the city of Barquisimeto, there is a marble sculpture that recreates the figure of a mother seated and surrounded by three children, the youngest of whom is on her lap.
Known as the Plaza Monument to the Mother, the central piece is placed on a base of about 10 cms, which in turn is supported by a red marble pedestal in the shape of a truncated pyramid.
Last Monday afternoon, I was with my son at the airport who bought an air ticket to return home to Caracas, after spending a couple of days visiting me, and when we left we found this beautiful work that does not usually attract many visitors.
As I have described in previous posts, I process the original photographs using the editing tools offered in their free versions by the applications Picsart and Snapseed.
Maternidad
La maternidad es la condición de madre, es aquella mujer que concibió y parió uno o más hijos, o que ejerce un rol de cuidado con afecto y responsabilidad similar al que suelen desarrollar las madres.
También se puede considerar madre a la mujer que cría, protege y brinda amor a un niño, aún cuando no sea su madre biológica. Este vínculo entre una madre y su hijo adoptivo es una relación especial y significativa, y al igual que en el caso de la relación biológica, surge un amor incondicional que dura toda la vida.
En la parte exterior del Aeropuerto Internacional Jacinto Lara de la ciudad de Barquisimeto, se encuentra una escultura elaborada en mármol que recrea la figura de una madre sentada y rodeada por tres niños, estando el menor de ellos en sus regazo.
Conocida como la Plaza Monumento a la Madre, la pieza central está colocada sobre una base de unos 10 cms, que a su vez es soportada por un pedestal de mármol rojo en forma de pirámide truncada.
El pasado lunes en la tarde, estuve con mi hijo en el aeropuerto quien compró un boleto aéreo para retornar a su hogar Caracas, luego de pasar un par de días visitándome, y al salir nos encontramos con esta hermosa obra que no suele atraer muchos visitantes.
Como he descrito en posts anteriores, las fotografías originales las proceso haciendo uso de las herramientas de edición que ofrecen en sus versiones gratuitas las aplicaciones Picsart y Snapseed.
