Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros asesinos del Internet y muchas gracias por haber hecho una parada temporal en mi post, el día de hoy nos reúne un tipo de película de la cual disfruto mucho debido a que mezcla de forma perfecta la acción con situaciones estúpidas, titulada "The Killer's Game", dicha combinación suele divertir mucho a su servidor y es por eso que me dieron ganas de traerla. Sin más que agregar, prepárense para enfrentarse a una cantidad abundante de asesinos profesionales pues estamos por comenzar.
The Killer's Game was released in 2024, is based on the 1997 novel of the same name written by Jay Bonansinga, directed by J. J. Perry and produced by Mad Chance, has a duration of 1 hour and 44 minutes. It is an action and comedy film, the story focuses on a veteran professional assassin named Joe Flood, his name has a huge weight in the world of assassins due to how good he is at his job, however, one fateful day he is diagnosed with a very serious terminal illness, moved by this problem he decides to put a price on his own head to die with honor at the hands of other professionals like him, however, the doctor calls him after putting the order to warn him that he had made a mistake, as a result of this bad play of fate he will have to face all kinds of hitmen if he wants to stay alive.

Es un filme de acción y comedia, la historia se centra en un asesino profesional veterano llamado Joe Flood, su nombre tiene un enorme peso dentro del mundo de los asesinos debido a lo bueno que es en su trabajo, no obstante, un fatídico día le diagnostican una enfermedad terminal muy grave, movido por dicho problema decide poner precio a su propia cabeza para morir con honor a manos de otros profesionales como él, sin embargo, el doctor lo llama después de poner la orden para avisarle que se había equivocado, producto de esta mala jugada del destino deberá enfrentarse a toda clase de sicarios si quiere mantenerse con vida.

The world-building does not stand out to a large extent due to the crazy and uncontrolled nature that the film possesses, therefore, it is logical that there is no interesting world exploration.

The plot is a perfect mix of stupidity, action and blood, this Trinity manages to make the film extremely interesting. Narratively it is simple, the film is style over substance so it focuses on providing both fun and action moments rather than telling a serious story, a product of this direction oriented to be style over substance is that it does not become boring because there is always something stupid, adrenaline or a mixture of both.
La trama es una mezcla perfecta entre estupideces, acción y sangre, esta Trinidad consigue hacer sumamente interesante a la película. Narrativamente es simple, la cinta es estilo sobre sustancia por lo que se enfoca en proporcionar tanto momentos divertidos como de acción más que en contar una historia seria, producto de dicha dirección orientada a ser estilo sobre sustancia es que no se torna aburrida debido a que siempre está pasando algo estúpido, adrenalínico o una mezcla de ambos.
Nothing to highlight, no character is serious, developed or with a minimum of personality, it is logical that it is like that due to the absurd nature of the film.

The Killer's Game is part of that type of film that does not seek anything else beyond the enjoyment of the viewer through silliness and action situations, it has no more ambitious aspirations than that. That is why it deserves 3 stars out of 7, completely recommended if you are looking to disconnect your brain and enjoy absurd and funny situations in equal parts.
The Killer's Game forma parte de ese tipo de películas que no buscan otra cosa más allá del disfrute del espectador mediante tonterías y situaciones de acción, no tiene aspiraciones más ambiciosas que esa. Es por ello que merece 3 estrellas de 7, completamente recomendada si lo que se busca es desconectar el cerebro y disfrutar de situaciones absurdas y divertidas a partes iguales.
