Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Share Your Journey

in LeoFinance10 months ago (edited)

Splinterlands is a pretty complicated game and it takes time to get used to the game. This is a part of the weekly social media challenge for Splinterlands. This week the topic is about my journey on Splinterlands

My Splinterlands Journey

How did you come across Splinterlands? Was it through a friend, social media, or perhaps a chance encounter? Share the story of your first introduction to this enthralling world.

It was around the time covid happened but I was on my computer when I downloaded the Brave Browser. The first ad that I saw was for a game called Splinterlands and that was how I ended up joining the Splinterlands game. I have said this in the past and that was also how I ended up joining the Hive blockchain to this day. I used to be a consumer and I never really considered being someone who created content before this.

How long have you been a part of Splinterlands? Are you a seasoned veteran or a recent addition to this mesmerizing realm? Share the amount of time you dedicate to Splinterlands daily. Does it consume a significant part of your day, or do you balance it with other activities?

I would say that I am a veteran because it's been a few years. I used to play a lot more a few years ago and I would say that I wanted to play more but I was capped more by the dark energy capture rate. So I participated in tournaments but I don't play that much anymore. Currently, I play for an hour or two while I am active on the Hive for my commenting.

What have you managed to achieve in Splinterlands? Have you conquered certain leagues, earned particular rewards, or accomplished personal milestones that make your journey stand out? What are your aspirations within Splinterlands? Are you aiming for a higher league, collecting specific cards, or mastering a new strategy? Share your future ambitions within the game.

I have managed to increase my own Splinterlands assets to be more than what I invested into the game. When I first started, I invested $1,000 into untamed packs and that investment proved to be great. So my own collection is a lot bigger than what I invested into the game itself. I am just aiming to improve my deck and my win rate.

Tips

Imagine speaking to someone who's just stepping into the Splinterlands universe. What advice would you give to beginners, based on your experience? Share tips, strategies, or insights that could help them navigate this world effectively.

The best tip that I have for beginners is to rent cards so you can figure out which cards you want to use and to also play in tournaments. Renting is cheaper so you can figure out how you want to play the game and you can always choose to buy the cards later if you want to commit to it. As for tournaments, it's the best way to find out the meta and find out good strategies. Fighting the matches will let you learn what cards work better with others. There are some really cheap tournaments if you are in the lower leagues.

In fact, if I had time, I would probably play in tournaments because I am still lacking a bit in regards to the new cards. I have learned a few things from my fights in modern but I think I could get better just by playing in those lower tier tournaments.

Conclusion

Splinterlands is the first crypto game that I played and it's been quite important to me. It's also the starting point for me into Hive and I do think it is quite fun. There isn't as much time left in the day so there isn't much that I can do but play some matches every single day. The game has gotten a lot harder with Rebellion though so I still need to improve my deck if I want to be competitive.

Feel free to leave a comment if you read my post. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.

Amazing journey to becoming a splinterlands legend. I see a lot of similarities with I started the game and it ushering me into hive and now becoming a serious creator of content on the platform. All the best as your journey in Splinterlands takes you even higher.

Yea. It was what pushed me into Hive. Good luck on your journey as well.
