Hola a todos, hoy les vengo a compartir lo que fue una pequeña celebración que realizamos el día de ayer en familia, ya que mi hermana estaba de cumpleaños, y para empezar la mañana fuimos a casa de mi abuela, como cada fin de semana, a pasar el día con nuestra abuelita y tíos, los cuales, nada más llegar, la felicitaron y abrazaron.
My aunt made chicken foot soup for lunch that day, which my sister and the family like, but I don't, so I then took it to my cats to try, which they enjoyed very much. While the soup was cooking in a big pot, she began to prepare the pair of what would be three cakes, since after a few years in which they didn't usually sing her birthday, this year it was the opposite and we got to work.
Mi tía ese día para el almuerzo hizo sopa de pata de pollo, cosa que le gusta a mi hermana y a la familia, pero a mí no, por lo que yo se las llevé luego a mis gatitos para que las probaran, los cuales disfrutaron mucho. Mientras se hacía la sopa en una gran olla, ella comenzó a preparar la par de lo que serían tres tortas, ya que después de unos años en los que no solían cantarle cumpleaños, este año fue todo lo contrario y nos pusimos manos a la obra.
While she was mixing the cakes, my sister and I were joking about what the whisking motion was, since for some reason she usually moves her body a lot when she does that action and we always joke about that, so it was a pretty nice time having fun while we watched each process of the preparation and we laughed, since she, unlike other times, mixed the base preparation with the previously beaten eggs, since it was so they would be fluffier and softer.
Mientras ella hacía la mezcla de las tortas, mi hermana y yo estábamos bromeando con lo que era el movimiento de batir, ya que por alguna razón ella suele mover mucho el cuerpo cuando hace esa acción y siempre bromeamos con eso, por lo que fue un rato bastante agradable divirtiéndonos mientras veíamos cada proceso de la preparación y nos reíamos, ya que ella, a diferencia de otras veces, mezcló la preparación base con los huevos previamente montados, ya que era para que quedaran más esponjosos y suaves.
Even the cooking time was shorter and in no time we already had the three cakes to proceed to sing happy birthday, where almost all the uncles, my grandmother, my mother, my sister, the birthday girl and I were, so, although the tradition of playing like five or six different birthday songs was not done, they took the opportunity to change the lyrics of the song making jokes both at the birthday girl and at me about the height, all to enjoy the moment as much as possible while everyone took photos and then tried the cake, which was spongy and very delicious.
Incluso el tiempo de cocción fue más corto y en poco tiempo ya teníamos las tres tortas para proceder a cantarle el cumpleaños, donde estaban casi todos los tíos, mi abuela, mi mamá, mi hermana, la cumpleañera y yo, por lo que, aunque no se hizo la tradición de colocar como cinco o seis canciones distintas de cumpleaños, aprovecharon para cambiar la letra de la canción haciendo chistes tanto hacia la cumpleañera como a mí con la altura, todo para disfrutar lo más posible el momento mientras todos tomaban fotos para luego probar torta, la cual estaba esponjosa y muy deliciosa.
After this, when we returned home, we stopped at a small kiosk where they sell a wide variety of fast food, since one of my gifts for her was a hamburger, since she likes it a lot and she had been telling us for a long time that she wanted one from that very place, so that day I was able to give it to her and, without further ado, we were there while she bought it and, after that, already at home, she was able to enjoy her gift completely happy.
Luego de esto, al regresarnos a casa, hicimos una parada en un pequeño kiosko donde venden comida rápida muy variada, ya que uno de mis regalos para ella era una hamburguesa, ya que le gustan mucho y tenía tiempo diciéndonos que quería una de justamente ese lugar, por lo que en su día se la pude regalar y, sin más, estuvimos allí mientras la compraba y, posterior a eso, ya en casita, ella pudo disfrutar de su regalo completamente feliz.
I must say that, although it is not very common to celebrate birthdays and especially us, this day, both my sister, the birthday girl, and we had a fun day sharing, enjoying as a family both the meals and talking about everything with some quite curious conversations and, although it was something simple, we got more than one smile out of each one of us and I am sure that for my sister it was a very nice day.
Debo decir que, aunque no es muy común el celebrar cumpleaños y mas que todo nosotras, este día, tanto mi hermana, la cumpleañera, como nosotros tuvimos un día divertido compartiendo, disfrutando en familia tanto las comidas como hablando de todo un poco con algunas pláticas bastante curiosas y, aunque fue algo simple, nos sacamos más de una sonrisa a cada uno de nosotros y estoy segura de que para mi hermana fue un día muy bonito.
