The defender will reach this percentage without any problem.
The Catalans could play 61 games this season if they reach the Champions League and Copa del Rey finals. This is the maximum number of games left to play, so Íñigo Martínez would have to play 37 games throughout the season. At this moment he has already played 29 games, of which 28 are counted because he did not even play 45 minutes in one.
Barcelona have already spoken to him to tell him that it was not necessary to comply with the contract because they were going to renew it regardless of whether he reached those figures due to his excellent performance. They would keep his contract as stipulated and everything was agreed.
However, the club has seen that it does not have Fair Play to renew him after the extension of the contracts of Araujo, Pedri, Gavi and Cubarsí. The Blaugrana club is talking to LaLiga in order to find a way to make this renewal effective. Contacts are constant, but so far the problem has not been resolved. Íñigo will have to wait.
