Hello hiveleaeners, how are you doing today? When I saw the recent featured content, I knew this community is one of the best communities in hive. Open to everyone who is interested in contributing to positive growth of the community is quite an interesting topic. For a community to grow, the people in the community should be asked questions; and that is what hivelearner community does in the recent featured content.
Honestly, I will say ‘a big thank’ to the moderator for bringing out this topic. It is an avenue to improve the community. I know the best suggestions are going to be picked; and they will work on it.
I read @george-dee article, he was talking about a community library which is quite interesting. We all know that a library is a place where we can find information about particular things. A library can preserve more than 500 years of information; such information can be kept for unborn generations.
The information of how the world was started was preserved for us; that is the reason 15 years old is talking about how the world was formed. Even his great grandfather was not born by then; yet, he knows it.
This is the reason I love his article because their are hiveleaeners that research about particular content and came up with good ideas 💡 💡 and quality contents. There should be a place to find such contents in case one needs them.
This made me recall when I read about particular featured contents in this platform; I forgot to reblog those articles so that whatever I need, I can go through them in my blog. There were particular days when I was searching for the contents, but I couldn't find them, and I didn't remember the name of the authors.
I scrolled down to 100 featured contents in #hivelearner; when I was tired of scrolling, I gave up.
I believe if there's library to keep some of these quality contents, I would have found them. This is the reason the library is very important.
Newbies Orientation
Let me just put it in that way. Some newbies have come and gone. This is not because they could not write quality articles but there was no one to give them clues about how it works.
Some of them came to hivelearner and wanted to explore immediately which led to frustration, unfortunately they give up. Some of these newbies have heard about hive, a platform that rewards content creators; just because some of them need money to sort things out, they joined hive; eventually, discovering that hive is not a place to make fast money, they give up.
Some of them have heard that, if you post today, you are going to be upvoted. Eventually, he posted for the whole week, his contents were not upvoted; then, he gave up.
This idea will also teach the newbies more about plagiarism and how to avoid it; and other projects that will help them.
My suggestion is that, there should be a channel in the hivelearner community discord where the newbies will be directed to. The function of this channel is to orientate the newbies how hiveleaener work.
Newbies should be aware that it is a place where upvotes are not guaranteed, a place to learn new things not only expecting rewards.
There should be a separate channel for newbies to learn everything about hivelearner.
The issue of upvoting
I was worried that I did not get an upvote from lazy-pand, so I began to think about what might be causing it. Thank God! I have many friends in nexian city who are also hiveleaeners. I asked the question in the general group chat.
One of them replied that, “I posted Articles for a month and I didn't get upvotes; but now, I'm getting upvotes in all my content”.
What is the reason your contents were upvoted at first?
“I don't know the reason why my contents were not upvoted. I did not give up on posting, that is all that I can say”.
I'm one of the authors and my contents have not been upvoted for weeks now. I'm suggesting that the reason contents are not upvoted should be written in the comment section of the articles. This will give the authors clues of what to do and where to improve.
For me now, I don't know what to do 😭😞.
Announce Hiveleaeners to the world (Social media)
There are some people that are undergoing trauma.. I realized that some of the contents here are medicine to my body, healing my emotional and social problems. There was a time I was undergoing emotional trauma; at the same time, someone wrote a post about it. It was exactly what I was experiencing he shared; and narrated how he overcame it.
The moment I finished reading it, I was happy as if I had found answers to my emotional problem. In fact, his own emotional problem was worse than mine. That was how I received strength, face the problem without fear. That was how I overcame it. After weeks, I had numerous testimonies.
Therefore, I suggest we should post our contents to our social media handles: who knows you might safe life 🧬 by posting your contents on social media.
Many people are passing through a lot; and they are scrolling their Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to wipe away time. Some of these people may come in contact with some of these articles which may help them to overcome.
By posting your articles to social media, you are also promoting hivelearner.
I stand up for success, and success is not achieved by merely making mouth, No room for laziness, no room for idleness. Success comes to the people who are desperately and consciously searching for it. When it seems unsuccessful or you smell failure around you, never discourage yourself from being successful.
