As a Moroccan, I think your article is wonderful! I've often spent my holidays in Marrakech and Agadir, two towns that aren't far from Essaouira, but I haven't yet had the chance to discover the Wind City. Every time, I tell myself that I have to go there, but it hasn't happened yet! If was my first time visiting your country, and loved it!! Probably Agadir is better option for pure beach, since for what I read Essaouira is windy most of the year; but definitely deserves a visit, especially if you like wind sports! And the sunsets are amazing. Cheers! !BEER
