I honestly never thought I would be writing something like this as I believe we could all recognize a cheap executed scamming scheme like this one.

A scammer account @hive.airdrop message you to participate in an air drop, they direct you to a website that requires your hive key to claim an airdrop but the moment you input your key, they have access to your funds and you can simply kiss your hive or hdb good-bye. Because the scammer will transfer them to another account @der.prophet

This had been going on since January, some good wills Hivers have been writing about it to warn others about it but unfortunately some Hivers especially newbies who thought this space is free from scammers are falling for it and hereby losing their funds.
My niece @zali.bee, who has been working diligently to build up her hive account, lost her liquid hive yesterday. Her experience quickly reminded me that some of us are still new in this space and need to be guided and warned of every possible way they can be vulnerable to scammers. Aside from feeling mad about this scammer's behavior, I kind of feel guilty because I simply forgot to warn my girl the first day I saw the scammer account. And today I'm making it my mission to warn as many Hivers as possible by making this post. You can as well reblog to reach more people as you never knew who you are saving. Share the scammer page in any discord you are active in. Join me and stop him or her, let's make space safe and secure for everyone.
She called me in the morning and immediately I picked the call. I knew something was wrong, in her voice, " good morning ma, please check your WhatsApp I left you a message" her voice usually sounds lively but this time she sounded like someone in distress. I immediately checked my WhatsApp and her messages broke my heart. She had been scammed of her hard-earned liquid hive because she was careless enough to follow the scammer instructions, if only she contacted me first before giving out her active key to the scammer. But it's all good now, we couldn't retrieve her stolen liquid hive but with the help of a great friend @samostically , we were able to change her keys hence stopping the scammer from having any further access to her account.
Thank you so much Sam, for your quick and Swift intervention.
Dear Hivers and especially newbies, always carry out your due diligence before going along with any opportunity that pumps up on your feeds. Never ever share your keys or password with anyone. Always ask questions from a trusted old Hiver before jumping into any opportunity. Safeguard your account because there are scammers and thieves everywhere including on the hive Blockchain, do not be naive be guided.
Taking a quick look at the scammer account, lots of Hivers have fallen victims already and many will probably still fall unless they are guided and they ignore the scumbag. Join me in this mission and let's stop the thief.
Thank you ❣️🙏✍️
