Hello everyone! This is my first post in this community. I love animals and I have several pets that I would like to introduce to you. I start with my dog Lila.
Lila was born on a farm owned by my family along with two little brothers. They were the biggest and fattest dogs I have ever seen in my life. Their mother, a rather thin yellow mongrel bitch, was an exceptional mother. She kept them under an irrigation pipe (she had to be taken out of there before all her children got wet, which took a lot of work because she felt safer there). Despite all her care, when she was two months old, she and her siblings followed their mother into the street. The next day we found her lying on the ground crying, with her beautiful mom nervously by her side. Apparently she had been run over and the driver fled instead of warning or providing any service to the little animal. We had to rush her to the vet, who gave us the bad news that her hind legs were broken in three places. So they bandaged one of her legs and operated on the other to put a nail in it. Lila never complained, she was docile and allowed herself to be cared for... She seemed to understand that we were helping her. Although it must not have been easy for her, as she could not walk and was crawling. I kept her at home for a couple of months and here she stayed with us. We became so attached and she needed us so much that she earned a place in our hearts. While she was growing up at home, her siblings were growing up on the farm with their mother.
As Lila grew up she had her problems, especially severe bone pain, so we were always going to the vet and all he could do was give her a pain pill. She became the strongest dog we ever had. She overcame everything. She is very sweet, never bit anyone or her siblings Nestor (a male dog), Suri (a cat) and Popis (a tortoise). Although sometimes on cold and wet days his paws hurt, he never complains. She is now 9 years old, walks well (although she limps), is very playful and affectionate, she lends Suri her crib and sometimes she has to be challenged because she eats the tortoise's food (she loves raw pumpkin!).

We are very happy to have her with us and we always take care of her, making sure she doesn't suffer because of her little legs.
