While the magic of talent land is gently fading into memory, and the hard work of follow up and retention rises ahead of us, there was one more random spell that the universe showed us.
Its not every day you meet an old friend from high school, and I never thought that west central Mexico would be a place for something like that.
But stick around, because just that happened to me, yesterday.
Before the Pozole
We are getting to the end of the talent land trip, mostly exhausted and "looking forward" to 36+ hours of getting home, but still trying to get as much juice from the squeeze of our time left here.
That's when I got a strange message in my twitter inbox:
Well that was a surprise, and its another friend I have been softly trying to onboard to HIVE for literal years. And so, we met up - and I used all the tools at my disposition still to make him an account.
And so it just happened that my buddy travels semi-regularily to Guadalajara to visit his dentist, and that this trip was particularily intetesting because his wife's grandma was having a birthday - ¡Qué abuela tan cumplida! - and if we wanted we could stop over and meet the in-laws, if we had time.
And so, that's how I met El Paparrín, a crypto-savvy tiktoker who is now "closely related" to me, in Latin American terms at least. We will have him on DeepWeb3Secrets soon; if you haven't noticed, @alex-rourke of Recording Box Studios has agreed to work with us on english dubs for any episodes we do in Spanish. This will allow us to continue to expand with multi-lingual interviews without fear of channel splitting or algorithm damage.

So give a like and follow, or whatever you do on tiktok, all you tiktokers out there, I spent a few hours wandering the streets of Guadalajara yesterday with an up and coming crypto influencer who is the next best thing to family now.
The best laid plans would never land El Paparrín, but we go with the flow and find synergy wherever we end up.
And that's my story, hopefully will be home "soon" to start the mountain of work that has piled up in my absense.
