I have come to understand that when it comes to learning something new, it totally depends on you. The pace at which you go, the confidence you build to try those things out, all depends on you. I do not believe that anything or any skill is difficult to learn, you just have to put your mind to it and maintain a positive mentality. You know, what goes on in our heads actually affects how we handle what goes on around us. If you want to learn something and your mind is super fixated on the fact that it is very hard, one might always find it hard and eventually opt out, out of frustration.

Truth is, anything that is alien to you will always seem hard. Have you been in any situation where you initially thought something was really hard and then you got to see how it's done and then realized how easy it was. So when learning something new, the best advice I would give is to keep an open mind and also stay committed. The process might be tedious, stressful and even frustrating at times, but once you get it right, it starts to look very easy. It might not work the same way for everyone because we are different.

I have always though I had a thing for design all my life and yet, when I tried learning it, it was quite overwhelming. It wasn't even that I wasn't getting the concepts, but I think I was expecting myself to do more, due to the kind of passion I had for it. Maybe somewhere in my head, I am putting this unnecessary pressure on my self and that affected me a lot. I would see these mindblowing designs online and ask myself if I can ever do something that amazing. I ended up not finding out, because, till today, I couldn't learn design despite the fact that I love it so much.

On the other hand, I picked up a skill I have never thought I would ever consider in my entire life about a month ago--Frontend development. Till now, it is still surprising to me that I am exploring that field. I used to think of it as a skill that wasn't meant for me, I always ran away from anything relating to coding because I didn't know if I would be able to understand. Suprisingly, I am finding it very easy to understand it and I find it really interesting and facinating as well. Of course, it is still a learning in progress and I might experience some difficulties, but then, I am so invested in it and I will see it through till the very end.

These two scenarios taught me that passion is overrated, and is definetely not all it takes to learn something new to a point of understanding. There are other things that can help us learn something successfully. Also, one can always decide what to build a passion in, so it does not always have to come naturally.

Learning is really a continuous thing that we continually keep going and going until our last breath

Yes, that is very correct. We learn everyday, so they say.
