Hello Friends,
https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@splinterlands/battle-mage-secrets-weekly-challenge-sh6z87
Enjoying the Olympics along with battling it out on Splinterlands? I do that as I love the sports and happy to see India getting an early medal in the form of a Bronze by our woman shooter Manu Bhaker.
As she said in post match interview, India was due for a long time for a medal from a shooter.
Coming back to the Splinterlands, here I am with this battle details with a combination of magic and ranged attack monsters for this week's rule set of reverse speed.
Reverse Speed rule set allows the players to have the advantage of attacking with monsters with lowest speed First and then followed by next lowest speed and so on.
I have enjoyed this rule set a lot with my level 2 Yodin Zaku with most of the ranged attack monsters from Fire are being lower speed monsters.

Battle and Lineup:
The battle had a MANA cap of 30 with opportunity and lost legendaries rule sets along with reverse speed as the other rule set for this battle and considering these, I used the monsters as below for this battle.
Lineup:
1. Mycelic Splipspawn:
The opportunity rule set means, it's better to have a taunt ability monster to protect those low health yet effective monsters from getting attacked First and Mycelic Slipspawn with it's less speed and more magic attack, is a handy customer for these rule sets.
2. Goblin Psychic:
The tank healer, Goblin Psychic is good to have to keep Mycelic Slipspawn in the battle for longer time besides it's useful 2 magic attack and can also stop the healing of the monster it attacks.
3. Madcap Magus:
Madcap Magus being monster with 1 speed, is always there to attack the opposition monsters early and it's scattershot and affliction abilities will be very useful for such opportunity rule set battles.
4. Goblin Tower:
Goblin Tower is another less speed monster along with being able to hit 2 or 3 monsters depending on the position of the monster it attacks as it has the blast ability.
It's 5 ranged attack will be very handy and that 5 can be almost like 11 (5+3+3 if it attacks a monster which is there in Second line) as it as the blast ability.
Opponent too had magic monsters from Earth splinter, but I think, having Goblin Tower in my lineup was advantageous for me to win the battle.
Here I am sharing the screenshots from the battle and the link provided above, allows us to go thru full battle.
Wow, those reverse speed monsters can be so effective when the rule set allows them and I enjoyed bringing the details of this battle to you and I hope you too enjoyed going thru this battle.
Wishing you a great week ahead as we start on this Monday and do keep watching Olympics and support the sportsmen who practice for Four years to compete in the Olympics and try to bring glory :)
Thanks and Have a good day :)
