You’d have to be living under a rock to not realize that the US Presidential race has just been blown open with the recent revelation that Joe Biden is not mentally fit to lead. The global corporate media are in the process of throwing him under the bus and are pretending that they didn’t really know until they saw the recent presidential debate. It was a debate organized so early in the election cycle that it looks like an obvious set up. The decision has been made that it’s time for him to go...and so now it’s time to turn the page...

For many astute observers it’s been obvious for some time that Biden has been playing the role of Sock Puppet for others behind the scenes. Frequently he's just been reading from teleprompters and gaffing hard when he’s gone off script. The time has finally come to end the charade. I feel a bit sorry for the guy in the way his mental decline has been exploited and ridiculed by “friends” and “enemies” respectively. I expect he will announce his withdrawal within days for “health reasons” or to “spend more time with family” because “the job has taken it’s toll” or one of those types of reasons that politicians always use to save face when standing down after being tapped on the shoulder.
I personally never thought he’d see out his term because the warning signs were there even back in the 2020 election cycle when he was campaigning from his basement and being stage managed so hard – even before he was elected. I thought they’d replace him mid-term, but the way it’s being done now is perfect for the power brokers. By doing it at the convention they can bypass those pesky democratic primaries and hand pick the successor, while giving the new candidate a clean slate and enough runway to take a clear shot at the election. Many alternative analysts were saying this was on the cards for a long time. Now we get to watch the show...and pretend we’re surprised.
I won’t go into speculation on who the successor will be. I do have an opinion on it, but I don’t think it’s all that important. At the end of the day it’ll likely be the same people calling the shots and writing the script and it’ll just be a new fresh face up front to make the sales pitch to the American public. It’s not that I think the other guy(s) are any better and as an Australian many would say that I’m not really entitled to have a strong opinion...but I am...and I do.
Australia is a staunch ally to America. In many ways the USA is an inspiration for us. American peoples (for the most part) are truly progressive and also have wonderful traditions with a rich history too. Here in Australia we share the American Dream and we celebrate American culture. We’ve been there with our American brothers and sisters in every significant foreign conflict of the last 100 years. As someone who is staunchly anti-war and who doesn’t want to see his country follow an ally into bloodshed any more, it’s important to me who becomes the next leader of the Free World even if they are just a symbol. Whoever it turns out to be, I hope that the next US President can help to deliver us all a lasting peace.
