Recommendation with “Ellen Cole” (En/Es)

Lately, I've had time to devote a few hours to one of my favorite hobbies, watching movies, and I was browsing through different apps when I came across a poster featuring one of my favorite actresses, whom I've seen in several horror movies that have made an impact on me. I was intrigued because this time, the movie didn't seem to be of that specific genre, as it had a different style. as she was dressed as a cowgirl... Just by seeing her, I sensed that “this movie is going to be good”; and she is none other than the actress Lin Shaye, so I set out to watch it with all the enthusiasm of a movie lover.

As I started watching it, I was surprised, because I was used to seeing her all mysterious and surrounded by entities, spirits, and demons, but this time I saw her as a tough old woman, but sick and dependent on an oxygen tank, and the poor thing seemed totally helpless. Then suddenly, in a scene where she had to rescue a girl from some bad guys, I saw that the old woman was more agile than a 20-year-old thug. I was shocked! Surprised, I then understood more or less where the story was going.

From that moment on, I went from one surprise to another and couldn't tear myself away from the TV until the movie ended. It's a completely different movie from what we're used to seeing from this acting legend. This film is in the action-drama genre, so I found myself watching as an apparently elderly woman turned into a senior citizen Rambo. I must say that the action scenes were very well done, showing the protagonist's daring and creativity in defending herself throughout the plot.

She brings justice to the criminals who want to run her and her young friends over. Although it's not all action, it also has a touch of nostalgia, sadness, and drama, making it a rather interesting plot, as you want to know what's behind all these explosive situations that arise. However, I must say that what I liked most was seeing this veteran actress playing a different role than we are used to and discovering that she is also good in other genres.

Besides, it has many scenes that keep you on the edge of your seat in anticipation. There's not a dull moment; it grabs you from the moment you start watching it until the end. So, if you want to be surprised like I was, I invite and recommend you to watch it, to settle in with your popcorn and ice cream, like I did, to spend a few hours in the world of “Ellen Cole.” I assure you that you will want to keep watching, and the good thing is that there may be a second part, because why not?

Últimamente, me ha dado tiempo para dedicarle unas cuantas horas a uno de mis hobbies preferidos, ver películas y estaba visitando las diferentes apps, cuando me tope con un póster, donde vi a una de mis actrices favoritas, que he visto en varias películas de terror que me han impactado y me intereso porque en esta ocasión, la película no parecía ser de este género en específico, pues se veía con un estilo diferente, pues aquí va de vaquera..., con solo verla a ella intuí "esta película va a estar buena"; y ella no es otra que la actriz Lin Shaye y me dispuse a verla con toda la actitud de una amante del cine.

Al empezar a verla, me fui sorprendiendo, pues acostumbrada a verla toda misteriosa y rodeada de entidades, espíritus y demonios esta vez la vi, como una anciana ruda, pero enferma dependiendo de una bomba de oxígeno y la pobre al parecer, se veía totalmente indefensa; cuando de repente, en una escena, donde tuvo que rescatar a una chica de unos tipos malos, veo que la anciana tenía más agilidad que un maleante de 20 años, quedé azul!, sorprendida y entonces ahí comprendí más o menos por donde iba a ir la cosa.

Desde ese momento iba de sorpresa en sorpresa y no pude despegarme de mi TV, hasta que la película finalizó. Es una película completamente diferente a lo que esta señora de la actuación, nos tiene acostumbrados. Esta película es del género de la acción-drama, entonces me descubrí viendo como una aparente anciana, se convertía en un Rambo de la tercera edad; debo decir, que las escenas de acción fueron muy bien hechas, donde se puede ver la osadía que quieren demostrar de la protagonista y su creatividad que activa, para poder defenderse en toda la trama.

Haciendo justicia, contra los malhechores, que la quieren atropellar a ella y a sus jóvenes amigos. Aunque no todo es acción también tiene su toque nostálgico, de tristeza y drama convirtiéndola en una trama bastante interesante, pues quieres saber qué hay detrás de toda esta explosión de situaciones que se presentan; más, sin embargo, debo decir que lo que más me gusto fue ver a esta veterana actriz, desempeñando un papel diferente al cual nos tiene acostumbrados y descubrir que también es buena en otros géneros.

Aparte, tiene muchas escenas, donde te mantienen en vilo a la expectativa, no tiene un minuto de aburrimiento, te capta desde el mismo momento en que la empiezas a ver hasta el final. Así es que si quieres sorprenderte al igual que yo, te invito y recomiendo a que la veas, que te acomodes junto a tus cotufas, helados, como yo para pasar unas horas en el mundo de "Ellen Cole", te aseguro que te quedaras con ganas de seguir viendo y lo bueno es que quizás, pueda haber una segunda parte, porque no.
