The Umbrella-mushrooms

in Fungi Lovers3 days ago

Greetings, friends
Friday! This photo was taken last year in the Arkhangelsk taiga.
I was visiting my son and we went to a farmer's ranch, if that's what you can call it. The road ran through the taiga for about 20 km. At one of the sites, while driving, I looked around to see mushrooms. And I saw them. My companions did not understand me, for them these umbrellas are just ordinary toadstools. And they wouldn't let me take these mushrooms home.

I rarely see such umbrella-mushrooms in the forest. I don't even remember seeing them in my childhood. And I would have kicked them too in those years.
Last December, I was in China and I had a chance to eat a lot of mushrooms there. I showed these foods to my friends and they called them toadstools. Yes, this is the attitude towards mushrooms in Russia. There are about a dozen "noble" mushrooms that are considered edible, and the rest of the mushrooms are considered inedible. For example, my mom doesn't even eat champignons.

My mom says that games are collected by walking through the forest, not sitting in a cart. I walked a little more through the forest, but I didn't see anything good there.
