The Lassen people are usually known for producing high quality honey from their natural honey reserve. Over the years, their forest is filled with bee hives which when matured are always harvested by their youth and sold communally.
However, with tht passage of time and lack of jobs by the youths, most of them decided to be harvesting the honey without waiting for it to mature fully and without also involved the community.
This also results in the production of low quality honey from the Lassen people. Most of their buyers became worried and started sourcing for honey elsewhere.
It was as if the bees realized what was happening, they decided to migrate to other forests and the Lassen forest became empty of beehives.
The community leaders were taken by surprise and decided to make inquiries from their gods and it was revealed that lack of unity and greed made the bees to fly away.
As a solution, they were asked to plant a sweet smelling plants in large quantities in their forests and wherever they intend the bees to settle. They thanked the medicine man and went away.
Soon, all male adults were summoned and tasked to do the flower planting. Happily they responded and in a matter of months the flowers sprouted and started producing sweet fragrance which were like entertainment for the bees.
One day a large whistling noise was heard towards to Lassen forest and the clouds threat appeared to be covered with small flying objects which at first appeared as if the sky was darkened. The bees are back to the forest and the Lassen people could be seen jubilating widely.
They also resolved to go back to the old ways of harvesting the honey.
