For every actions we take their are rewards that come with them. Blessings are always accustomed to obedience. Rebellion on the other hand attracts blessings. A large part of what the christian race is all about is giving up your own will and doing the will of God. Our will and decisions no longer become important because we are now focused on what is that good and perfect will of the Father.
Obedience to God's will is for our own good. If we disobey God it could result to consequences that we may end up paying for. People who go far with God are people who are willing to obey and go to any length in doing the will of God. Everything contained in God's will for us to observe is something that we will never regret doing because they are for own good.
Ecclesiastes 12:13: "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man."
Obeying God's will is more than just an act, it is the sole duty of man. This means that anything we do that is beside the obedience to God's will is vain. If for instance at our places of work we fail to carry out our duties there's no way our employers will be pleased with us. It may even lead to a sack for the establishment. That's the same way we may be cut off from God's plan if we don't keep His commandments and obey His will.
The enemy the devil would always do everything in his ability to keep us off from the plan of God for our lives and one of the major ways he does this and by causing us to disobey God just as he did in the case of our first parents. Therefore ernest desire and prayer to God is to always help us to keep to His will.
