Hi,

the theme for today's #februaryinleo, the initiative for increasing the interaction and the quality of posts, is about travel and holiday budget, which falls under the #worldonthursdaytheme.

The questions are if we like to travel and if we do it. Well, the answer to both of them, yes, we do. Since we've been together, we tried to have as many experiences as possible. Since our son was born, we took him everywhere with us, as travel shows the world. He can make his image of what he sees, of the good and the bad.

Yes, travel can be very expensive, but we like to plan ahead. Like a couple of days ago, I wrote a post about how we will travel to Euro Disneyland, with the help of Travala. You can read it in here.

We are lucky to be in one of Europe's beautiful regions, with one-hour drive to the highest peak in Germany, one hour to Salzburg, in Austria, three hours to Prague and some 4 hours to the Adriatic Sea. We do a lot of one day trips, or weekend trips. Not only that, but we drive an electric car (we still have diesel for long trips), which is not so expensive as petrol or diesel. We don't pick expensive accommodation, as we look at price and ratings first. This has offered us so many great experiences, as we avoid big corporations.
We try to go to family run businesses, where you can feel there is passion, soul, and some personality. Due to a tight budget, we don't sleep so often in hotels, but when we do, we try to see the best option out there. We have every month allocated for travel, and a plan to go somewhere. Weather mostly does not matter, as we got proper clothing.

We don't fly so much on travel. I do for work, but we try to avoid it, as Europe has a lot to offer. I'm coming from a multicultural home, where we spoke at home 4 different languages, and these 4 have not been English. Since little, my parents took me with them, and now we take our son with us.

Travel opens minds, it shows values, values which are sadly almost gone these days.

What would be from your point of view the device worth mentioning?

This is part of the initiative #februaryinleo, where you can still participate, even if you missed the post from the start, like I did. All the details are in here and in here.
