I know I love movies a lot but I never imagined myself seeing a Disney movie until I spent a day with my niece and I finally had the chance to experience how interesting Disney movies are.
Also, since then, I’ve been spending more time with my niece so we can see Disney films together. My favorite Disney film at the moment is titled Toy Story and I know by the end of this review, you’d be tempted to see the Disney film titled Toy Story
The Plot
Andy Davis, a young boy and son of Mrs Davis is planning to move into a new house alongside his sentient toys who pretend to be lifeless. Apparently, they will surely know about everything happening in the house.
The sentient toys who pretend to be lifeless found out that Andy Davis birthday party will happen soon and they all started to find out what gift Andy will receive. They all got scared that Andy will get a better toy which will replace them.
At last, Andy got Buzz as his birthday gift. Andy felt Buzz is a space ranger but Buzz is just a toy. Due to jealousy, Woody, Andy’s old favorite toy and Buzz, the new toy got into a big fight which led Buzz into trouble as he climbs in a claw crane filled up with toy aliens but he thought it was a rocket.
Woody couldn’t take that and decided to help Buzz. Along the line, Woody also got himself into trouble while trying to save Buzz and they both helped each other. Finally, they went back home to meet other toys and they all reconciled.
At Christmas party, Andy got a puppy.
How has this movie influenced me and the people around me?
Do you know that such thing happens in real life too? No one wants to be replaced by anyone. That’s to show that even toys always want to be someone’s favorite and no one ever wants to be replaced.
So the influence this has on me is that if truly there is anyone who never wants to be replaced and they go extra hard to make that happen, we shouldn’t blame them. We should just let them be because no one ever wants to be replaced.
So if you do not want to be replaced and want to learn the Disney way, you can give this a watch.
What do I like about the movie?
I like the fact that Woody and Buzz eventually became friends. Whether they like it or not, they will forever be a part of Andy’s toys and they wouldn’t even be able to fight for that long.
I also like the fact that Andy was given a puppy at the Christmas party. What if it was another toy? Are the toys also going to be jealous of the new one to the point of hurting it? So, the puppy is just the best idea.
Another thing I love is how the movie is centered around Andy’s toys and not Andy himself or his family members.
So, I must say that the idea of using the toys especially Woody and Buzz is an amazing and good idea.
What part of it do I find interesting?
The part where Buzz climbs on a claw crane thinking it was a rocket is actually very funny. That’s because I’m a fan of Woody. I don’t want any new toy to take Woody’s space just like I don’t want anyone to take my space in my relationship.
So that was interesting because it felt like seeing my enemy in trouble. I thought that was going to be the end of Buzz’s life until I saw Woody help Buzz again.
That means even though I don’t want you to take my space, it doesn’t mean I want you dead.
I really love this Disney movie coupled with the fact that I was chatting with my niece while we were watching it and that made it more interesting. I’m actually going to watch this again.
I’ll find a day when all I wish to do is be a baby again and that will be the right time to see this movie again. I’ll rate this movie a 9/10 because it is worth it.
I know this is a Disney movie but as an adult, you’ll surely enjoy it when you watch it.
