I'm not personally affected, but millions of HIV sufferers are, as Trump stopped funding to South Africa (I think the entire African continent?) Many NGO clinics have had to close temporarily, perhaps forever if no other funding is found. Of course, no ARVs means their immune systems will be compromised, and HIV will become transmittable again! Our useless government health system will not cope with the demand, not only for ARVs but also the illnesses that will follow!
Many innocent rural women get infected by their husbands who work in the cities. They are the ones who will suffer the most, as many of these men have abandoned them. Sorry, I'm not being sexist here, but that is what's happening, and I've personally seen it. Without ARVs, those women will not survive.
