From my last trip to the Swiss there are still quite a few places that I have not been able to share. Bern is one of them. We had half a day at our hand before our night flight from Zurich, and I was checking out on the map which would be the nearest and convenient place to make a short visit. Bern was one such option. I had been here some 20 years back and it was not a bad idea to make a quick revisit again to the place. We had exactly 6 hours at hand, and for Bern it's enough if you do not wish to explore too much interior parts of it. The main places to visit here are the Cathedral, Bear Park, Rose Garden, the clock tower and walking through the old town. Then there are museums also.
Walking through the old city of Bern you see the beautiful water fountains and the clock tower - Zytglogge. Bern is also known as the City of Fountains. In the olden times most of the residents of this places lived near these Fountain area to have easy accessibility of water and also this place was used for social gatherings. There are 100s of water fountains in Bern, but of all there are these 10 main ones on the walking street of the medieval city, and they are quite an attraction with the tourists.
Sharing some pictures from my trip.

As we start walking on the Water Fountains Street
I did not take pictures of all the 10 Fountains, but got a few of them. Each one of them have different characters on them.
As we walk through the street
Each one of these statues on the fountains have some historical significance but I am not aware of it, hence I cannot say much about them, but they do look very intriguing.
In the part 2 of the Bern Old city walk, I will share some other vibrant pictures of this place.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
