Introduction
Good day to everyone, hope all of you are doing ok. Things have not ramp down since the festive period. Work wise, activities are just going faster and faster as we get ourselves ready for new product lines and recalibrating ourselves for the annual charge towards a product milestone. Something interesting I realized is that I do have some young citizens that I placed in the market much earlier at higher prices got bought and I really thankful for that. Somehow there is a way to keep our stats in check and in optimal state and that way is via using the market as a freezer.
What is dCity?
The game is a city simulator game based on Hive NFTs where one can create a city the way we want it to be. As players develop and grow their cities, optimization is needed in terms of buildings, city population, the income that the city yields and technological developments. While many aspects of the game can be calculated based on the simulator within the game, there is a portion of randomness in the form of crisis event which can bring different kind of impact to city which affects income or popularity. If you like the original SimCity, I am sure you will like this.
My City and Intermediate Plans
The below screenshot is how my city looks like at this moment:
City
With the taxes and adjustments that happened throughout the week, went from 77 SIM up to 78 SIM. Without much activity in terms of adding buildings/citizens, I've managed to hover at this figure. Interim goal will be to look at means to increase this amount to at least 100 SIM per day which needs a little more work through getting buildings and citizens that produce more income for the city and having sufficient tax refund before everything gets eaten back and we end up not getting what we want. It is not easy to monitor card prices while having a busy schedule but I will continue trying and when something reaches my reserved price, I will be certain to make a purchase and bolster the income of my city.
Today the wind turbine that I have stands at 12 which is approximately 50% of what I am shooting for, no change to number of wind turbines. The goal towards obtaining a wind farm is always there and very attractive. Focus didn't change and this is what I hope to achieve soon.
Small Discovery
Seems like this is similar to Rising Star, unwanted stats can be temporarily "store" in the market. What do I mean by this?
Say if young citizens or other cards caused a significant drop to your income, one way is to put a super high asking price and list them in the market. By doing so, they will no longer be counted in your stats and you can still enjoy the income that you want while keeping some cards with you as you prepare for merging or further increasing income later. Small little discovery but I think can help me in the long run.
SIM Millionaire Goal Progress
Current | Goal | Delta |
---|---|---|
318k | 1M | 682k |
A steady amount of SIM build up saw improvement in the current SIM holdings. With some good sales of young citizens, I manage to get 10k worth of SIM into my holdings which is really amazing.
Current SIM Holdings
At the moment of writing, the current amount of SIM I am holding has reached 318,811 SIM. SIM increase this week mainly coming from the sales of young citizens where we've manage to offload quite a number. Let's continue to grow and grow, charging towards the goal of getting 1 million SIM especially thankful after meeting a new SIM holdings milestone.
Why Hold SIM?
This is reminder to all that holding SIM (or commonly known as SIM Power) brings about daily liquid hive if one having above 8000 SIM Power. SIM Power is calculated by the from the 30 days average SIM holdings.
With the increase in SIM in my Hive Engine, the 30 day average of my SIM power will continue to increase and then translate to move liquid Hive earning per day. Amount of liquid Hive per day based on current 30 day average is as seen below:
Assuming no increase in Sim Power (which is not possible with my city still generating income), I will be getting 0.54 liquid Hive per month. We've drop a little from last week but with more young citizen sales and increase in SIM holdings, I certainly hope to grow this amount bit by bit as the days progress. This amount that is earned passively will aid me in my goal where I am hoping that with this continuous building of the passive liquid hive accumulation, and when the goal is hit, I will be able to fully fund for the minimum hive power up requirement for Hive Power Up of 10 HP solely from this. And this will need me to be able to accumulate 0.333 Hive per day in order to do so. Right now due to reduced liquid hive gotten per day, while I am further away from my goal of 0.333 liquid Hive per day.
While liquid hive rewards are not coming for the past 2 days, hopefully hive engine side which recently had attacks will recover soon and all rewards will resume.
Closing
A small little discovery gives me the flexibility on holding up cards while not taking in negative impact in my city. This will certainly help me in my city growing than to just dump cards in order to maintain stats.
Looking forward to more on my journey of growing the city as it matures and progresses!
